this volume was a banger. really getting to the root of the series’ thesis about what the natural state of humanity is and why evil things happen- then absolute death and destruction bc gorey shonen lol. loved it

the reveal of annie as the female titan

was so excellent and well paced

A whole lot happens in this volume. They discover who the female titan is and what the walls are made of. The next big fight is revealed.

I couldn't identify some of the secondary and tertiary characters but that didn't impact my understanding of the story.
