Loved this! Everything I wanted out of a cowboy/rancher romance. The small town vibes were immaculate, and makes me want to read more in the series!

Quick, easy, cute read. Apparently cowboy romances is the big thing going now, and this is my first one. I love it. Definitely exited for more Rebel blue ranch novels.

Would have been a 4 stars if the guy didn’t use the word "sugar" about 175283 times.

Oh yes I am well and truely into my cowboy era and yaaaaaaas this book was everything
It was quite a bit insta lovey but I  liked that about it and wow I have a lot of positive things to say about this book
1) the ADHD rep?! Superb. I have never ever ever related to a book character or probably even another human like I have with Emmy. I loved her inner monologue and being able to relate to her anxiousness and overcompensation and sensory issues and that feeling of knowing your life is unravelling but not stopping it. Yes this book was honestly so fkn validating I loved it.
Now for Luke brooks. I LOVED him! I have been reading a lot of top of the line book boyfriends recently and this man definitely makes the list!! His thoughtfulness and protectiveness and spices and how’s he’s a golden retriever disguised as a playboy was really amazing. His understanding and thoughtfulness and how he works w her adhd brain really reminds me of my bf and it was so heart warming.
I also love teddy. How she just geeets Emmy and all her fun adhd quirks and just goes with them is amazing and I love to see it.
The only reason it’s missing .5 stars is I feel while the characters were awesome , a lot of the story happened on fast forward mode , ya know? Like “a week later” “it’s been a month” etc etc and during that time we miss out on all the small moments btw the characters and those are sometimes my fave. The plot wasn’t super big. She was scared , he helped her, she races again and wins - it’s a classic but it was pretty thin. There was some tension w brooks’ family but it didn’t become an issue so idk. How thin the plot was should make it loose more stars but I just loved the two main characters enough to keep it up there! Lol
Her adhd also wasn’t this big awkward deal that the author like waxed poetic about or the characters were even a little weird about, it was just part of Emmy and everyone just took notes and moved along accordingly, I really liked that. Obvi it’s something to take seriously but it wasn’t a spectacle or anything and I liked that
The narrators were awesome too! Didn’t get the ick listening to them at all even during the spicy scenes and that’s alllllways a bonus!

Love Emmy and Luke. Love them even more together.

Are cowboy romances going to be my new go-to?! Sheesh.
