“Just because you got dusted, doesn’t mean you’re done.”
I loved this book, Emmy and Luke have my whole heart. I read Swift and Saddled before this book, and the only thing I missed was the interactions between the other characters. I wanted to see more of Luke, Gus, and Wes together- which I feel like is better done in the second book. Instead of telling, I wanted more showing of the relationships these characters have to each other, which is what I love most about this series. Emmy and Luke's story felt natural and fun! Cannot wait for the third book!

Very easy reading. I haven’t read a contemporary romance in a very long time, they aren’t exactly my preferred genre. But the cowboy spin was a fun change.
Some of the writing was a little too silly for me. For example, Emmy says the line, “This is the real world, Brooks, not a fucking romance novel.” Like. Come on. lol.
