Amo a Drew.

Standing ovation. This is the perfect way to end a series. It's fun and sweet, and smart and an all around good time. I love these characters so much. The way they interact and the way you can tell how much they care for each other, it's just so good!

Also, how can you not love what comes out of Drew's mouth.

Hilarious and a joy to read, the reader is once again thrown inside the head of Drew as he fumbles towards marrying Kat. No matter what he does his love for Kat overrides everything. Every reader will wish that their husband loves them the way Drew loves Kat.

SWEETEST. WEDDING. EVER. OMG it's so hard to let go of this series. It's finally over. It was a funny exhilarating ride through it all and reading all the books gave me renewed hope about how people can change and live the life they want. Who would have thought that Drew can finally grow up and James is the most adorable little character ever! The crazy amazing dynamics amongst the characters does not allow for a single boring moment. I want more huhu but that's purely for selfish reasons. The ending was sublime although I wish there was a preview of the trip to Italy with James because their interactions with that kid is absolutely endearing.

Podľa mna by autorka mala písať len z pohľadu Drewea. Nech obmiena mená, story, všetko, len nie ten jeho pohľad na svet. Dlho som sa tak nesmiala na knihe. :)

Tied by Emma Chase

Tied (Tangled 4) by Emma Chase
Funny Adult Contemporary. Does Not Stand Alone, you should read at least Tangled first.

QUOTE MARKKate did the impossible. She changed all that—she changed me. I think we can all agree I was pretty frigging awesome before . . . but now I’m even better."

I absolutely love The Tangled Series from Emma Chase, especially when we get in Drew's head. I read the first books in the series on my Kindle, but then I heard a sample of the Tied audiobook, and decided it might be a fun way to finish the series. I'm so glad I did! This was my favorite audiobook this year. Listening to Drew may be even better than reading about him. I have a total crush on Drew Evans. Especially after hearing him with his son when he wakes up in the middle of the night.
QUOTE MARKYou probably don't want to hear this, but your mom is gorgeous--the finest ass I've ever laid eyes on.  Still, I really liked my old life and I couldn't imagine anything better.  But I was wrong, James--falling in love with her, earning her trust, having you, are the best things I've ever done."

If you've not read Tangled yet, the fun of Tangled is that we are in the man's head, and he talks to the readers, kind of like Ferris Bueller. Tied is not really a standalone, you need to know the characters to really enjoy this book.

It's two years since Drew & Kate had the baby, and they are adjusting to life as parents. They worked out the careers and responsibilities, and they have become pretty great parents.
QUOTE MARKOur first commandment: Don’t wake the fucking baby. I’ll repeat that in case you missed it: DON’T WAKE THE FUCKING BABY. Like… ever. Still don’t get it?

Must not have kids then."

Drew has grown so much since Tangled, and as much as I love the cocky, flirty playboy in Tangled, I loved the cocky, devoted, loving partner and father in Tied even more.

It's finally time for Drew and Kate to get married.
QUOTE MARKBut then I started hearing such words as low-key and small, intimate affair  and  nothing too ostentatious.
And I had to step in.
Because when an Olympian wins the gold medal, do they have a small, intimate affair?
Of course not.
They throw a fucking ticker-tape parade.
Which is the least of what Kate deserves.  Because everyone-including the members of my immediate family thought impossible.  She bagged me.  The grand prize- the unattainable- the megamillions jackpot.
That should be celebrated in a huge way."

But before the big day, you know what happens, right? The Bachelor & Bachelorette parties. In Vegas. What better place to get in trouble?

If you liked The Hangover, then you will love Tied.

The guys and the girls are of for a weekend of debauchery, and even Warren comes along for the ride. Drew is resistant to doing anything to upset Kate, but after a few drinks with the guys, things start to get a little hazy.
QUOTE MARK I like to call it cunning linguistics. You may know it as going down. Dining at the Y. Carpet munching. Having a box lunch."

I must admit, Drew had me pretty nervous, I mean where else can you be set up to fail than in Vegas? But Drew's absolute love and devotion to Kate showed through in every single word.

Likes:

  • •I love getting back to Drew's point of view.

  • •Despite being totally devoted to Kate, Drew is still the cocky, completely politically incorrect asshole we love to love.

  • •The scenes with Drew and James. Absolutely LOVED that.

  • •How much Drew has grown over the series.

  • •Tons of funny lines and quotes.

  • •I was listening and giggling out loud.

  • •There were some really hot scenes, made even hotter with the guy reading them.

  • •It was a really great ending to the series.

Dislikes:

  • •The Vegas scene was a little too Hangovery, but honestly I love that movie, so it worked for me.

  • •There isn't a lot of meat to this story, it reads more like a fluffy, fun long epilogue, but I still enjoyed the crap out of it.

Audiobook:

  • •Though it wasn't exactly how I pictured Drew's voice, it worked really well for me, and I think it even enhanced the read for me.

Tied was a great series ender. It was a glimpse 5 years after Tangled, and we get to watch the couple finally settled and happy. I love seeing how much Drew was in love with Kate, and how feisty Kate was in defending her man against flirty Vegas chicks. I love that we got back to Drew's POV, and that we were able to see how much he's grown and changed, but he still hasn't lost the total asshole personality we fell in love with. Listening to this story on audio, I think even enhanced my experience, because I had a ball listening to it. I hope Emma continues to come out with little extra visits with Kate and Drew, like the one in Baby It's Cold Outside (see my review).

This was such an adorable read. James was adorable. Drew was fucking adorable. The guys' friendship was SO adorable. It was also funny, sweet, and HOT!

But I feel like it lacked that little extra spice that would've made this a more awesome read. Dare I say, it was a little bit on the fluffy side? Not enough meat to sink my teeth into, I think. I was certainly not looking for angst, but I would have wanted a bit more to the story.

Also, I know how Kate's POV didn't work on Twisted, but how I wish I could have seen her side of things, especially during her bachelorette party. I think that would have been fun! ;)

Overall, I think Tied is a good, quick read (maybe too quick?). But apart from Drew's hilarious telling of their happily ever after, I believe this is a fairly forgettable book for me, considering how memorable Tangled is.

It is no big surprise that I LOVE me some Drew Evans!!
As much as he gives off this asshole, cocky vibe, he also has a HUUUUUUUGGGEEEE *aheeemm*... HEART (what did you think I was going to say??)....

Even though he is frustrating as hell, a huge pig, and you dont know whether to love him or kill him, he has something magical about him that makes you lose your mind whenever you are around him...
(It's probably his penis but that may just be me)

In Tangled I fell in love with him and his piggish ways, in Twisted I wanted to strangle him and then Tied made me want to do both! Some of the things that came out of his mouth, in this story, had me ready to choke him but I was also laughing and cheering him on.

Tied is really short. Well, shorter than what I was expecting, and almost the whole story takes place in Vegas. There is fuckery, sex toys, drugs, strippers and even a wedding... All the things you can expect for Vegas.

I laughed, I got teary eyed, I was frustrated and really horny in most places
(I mean it is DREW)...

But I loved that I was able to read about the wedding, the things leading up to it, and even what was happening next. I am sad to say goodbye to these characters but I am glad I have the books to keep me nice and toasty at night when I need something sexy and funny to read.

Overall, I give this book a 4.5/5 "I want Drew Evans to live inside my vagina" Stars!!!

If you are looking for something amazing, sexy, frustrating, and wonderful then I would pick up Tangled and continue reading for more Drew Evans!!
He's amazing and he knows it ;)
