“A Deal for a Kiss,” authored by W. Winters, is a prequel novella that tells the love story of Ivy and Carlisle.
Unlike Carlisle—a supernatural demon who remembers their past lives—Ivy, a human, has no memory of him. I found this story to have a lasting appeal and truly wonderful elements. In order to bring Ivy back and help her remember him, the underworld demon Carlisle makes a deal with Hades.
However, I believe the story could benefit from more length. My desire to learn more about these characters was intense, especially regarding their history and what led to Ivy losing her memories. I craved much more detail, but unfortunately, the book ends on a cliffhanger that sets the stage for W. Willow’s upcoming novel, which will retell a Hades and Persephone love story.
I sincerely hope Winters will return to this love story. In the meantime, I am patiently awaiting the second book in this series!

I loved this prequel to His in the Dark. Carlisle & Ivy were a little intense & I cannot wait to see what else Willow has in store for us in this world…or underworld

Ohh I’m liking what I read so far in this different take on Greek mythology. Carlisle is an immortal bound to underworld who wants his long time soul mate Ivy to remember their past lives. Prequel to upcoming series and multi povs. I’m interested in the next one. Loved the audiobook.
