This was preeeetty good, predictable as per Ruth Ware’s usual but I enjoyed the cat and mouse chase

Great story line! Murder, espionage, cyber terrorism, police misconduct, and more.
Graphic: Cursing, Blood, Murder
This book took a long time to get me invested into it, idk it just wasn’t hitting for me at first. The second half of the book was way better and made up for the first half
Mixed reviews on this one but I liked it, except the end was a little drawn out. One chapter too many perhaps!
The rest was great, I did guess who but not why initially, I think I’ve read too many thrillers and watched too many series to be tricked into believing otherwise. I felt sad that we never got to know Gabe other than in Jack’s head but she was a strong character!

Ruth Ware may not be an auto-buy author for me anymore. She has a way with words, but her plots have had more misses than hits for me. This one ended with one of my least favorite tropes in writing history.
