Really liked it, it was fun and fast and gripping. The tech was good too.
My only complaint is a mild spoilers so look away ...
I'm so deeply sick of the surprise pregnancy ending. It's really unlikely the protagonist would be happy (at least at first) by being pregnant right after her husband was murdered.
I also just hate this ending for my own childless reasons. It's lazy and overused.

Minor: Pregnancy
What a FUN read!
Jack Cross is a “pen tester”. She and her husband own a company that is contracted to test the security of different companies. Jack handles the physical security side while her husband, Gabe, hacks the systems. One night after a routine run Jack comes home to find her husband dead and herself the prime suspect on the police’s radar. Jack will have to use all her skills, both mental and physical, to track down her husband’s murderer before the police catch her and she is framed.
This book was heavy, yet still felt more light than some of Ruth Ware’s other books. I loved the protagonist’s grit and how she used her strengths to survive everything she did. I suffer PTSD and felt myself empathizing with her feelings of powerlessness. It was so refreshing to see her overcome that to figure out the truth of the story, and the ending made me so emotional!
Absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend!!

I mean it is so completely implausible and out there but what can I say, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. Been having a long streak of books that keep taking me a week to read because I keep finding something else to do. This one got me out of my slump.

It went a little long. I think it could’ve wrapped up sooner.

3.75.. more of an action thriller than her usual style of whodunit mysteries which I prefer. Still a pretty addicting read.
