I don’t know if this means I read too many thrillers, but I predicted this one pretty accurately early on. Yay me!

As someone who works in IT, I really appreciated the time put into both how a pen tester can gain access, but also the realism that many times the blackhat organizations are not brought to justice.

Y’all know I dislike when the entire premise of the book is that the main character is stupid and man was she stupid. Half the book was her worried and self conscious about the choices she was making and the other half was spend describing her wound. Also what kind of superhuman can literally survive on zero food zero hours of sleep constantly banging up her stomach and a severe infection and jumping off buildings and running from the police while being surprise pregnant!?? There’s literally NO way a child could have survived that so I simply don’t believe that that happened and it was stupid !

Zero Days was another quick read for me by Ruth Ware. I was quickly drawn into this storyline and Jack’s job as a pen tester. This played out like a tv show or movie for me and I enjoyed the race against the clock format. I enjoyed Jack’s rebel spirit and the chase she was on. There were some predictable elements for me, but I was along for the ride and had a lot of fun reading the book. 4 stars rounded up

Word of caution: this is not like Ruth Ware’s other books! I recommend picking it up if the story intrigues you and not to compare it against her other works.
