Just finished FINN. Marketed as a daddy book, there's no way I couldn't read it on release day.

I enjoyed this one. Stoic cowboy meets friendly nanny. There's some cheating (not between mcs) and some forbidden aspects. Finn is originally seeing Violet casually. Then he starts to have feelings for his nanny, Ash. Who happens to be Violet's twin brother.

✨️Daddy✨️ does get thrown around, but it felt more like a nickname. I'm not mad about it. It worked for them.

Also, Finn can get it. I love a good brooding cowboy main character, and Finn certainly fit the bill.

Ash and Finn fell hard and fast. But lots of THINGS kept the story moving: Finn's discovery of his sexuality. The delivery 👀. Finn's family ---> Hollis and Gentry! Can't wait to read Gentry's book. Foreshadowing suggests that maybe Gentry gets with his son Hollis' bff? I'd be here for that.

Tucker was adorable.
Finn was broody.
Ash was down bad for Finn.
Ash and Violet's relationship was interesting

I wish Ash's anxiety could have fleshed out a little more. It just missed the mark.

Overall, I enjoyed Finn a lot. 4.5 ⭐️

I read this book, but I also listened to the audiobook. This was such a fast and fun read! The story flowed so well, and I couldn't put it down. The tropes were spot on, and the chemistry between Finn and Ash was just amazing. Their dynamic kept me hooked the whole time. On the other hand, Violet was unbearable—selfish and completely self-centered. I honestly couldn't stand her.

Finn is the ultimate grumpy cowboy with a heart of gold, completely devoted to his son, Tucker. Being a dad comes first, but Ash turns his world upside down. He pushes Finn’s buttons in the best way, and their flirty banter quickly turns into something more. Ash didn’t expect to end up back in Wolf Creek, but taking the nanny job for Finn’s son is an opportunity he can’t pass up. Finn isn’t exactly welcoming at first, but the more time they spend together, the clearer it becomes—those glares aren’t just annoyance, but something much deeper.

The bi-awakening in this book was so well done. Finn goes from being completely unaware of his attraction to Ash to fully embracing it, and it was written with so much care and emotion. The way they slowly open up to each other, build trust, and form such a deep connection made their romance feel natural and heartfelt.

The spice? Yeah, that was next-level. The tension between them was thick from the start, and when things finally exploded, it was worth every second of buildup. That being said, the whole "daddy" thing didn’t really work for me. With Finn already being a dad to a four-year-old, it felt a bit off, and I don’t think there was a big enough age gap for it to fit.

Tucker was absolutely adorable, and the bond he forms with Ash melted my heart. One of the sweetest moments was when he asked Ash if he could be his mommy—just pure, heartwarming perfection. Seeing Finn slowly open up, not just to Ash but also to the idea of love again, made this story even better. He might be a broody cowboy, but once he starts falling, he falls hard.

The drama was there but never too heavy. Just when I thought things were about to spiral, the situation smoothed over quickly. It kept the book feeling light and easy to read, though it did make some conflicts feel less impactful. But honestly, with how good Finn and Ash were together, I didn’t really mind.

As for the audiobook, Gregory Salinas and Alex Kydd absolutely nailed it. Their performances brought Finn and Ash to life in the best way. Gregory captured Finn’s grumpy, reluctant soft side so well, and Alex made Ash’s playful energy jump off the page. Their chemistry was just as strong in audio as it was in the book, making it an even better experience.

Overall, Finn was a quick, entertaining read with a great romance, fun banter, and a touch of steam. The chemistry was off the charts, and the bi-awakening was beautifully written. I’m excited to see what’s next in The Moore Men series—Hollis and Gentry’s stories can’t come soon enough!

What a great start to a new series from Ashley James!
Finn, in need of child care for his young son, has to take the suggestion of his girlfriend. Her twin brother is suddenly in need of a job and is perfect for it, having a masters in childcare. Their first meeting definitely does not go to plan, with Ash half dressed outside of his car after a tea mishap.
I love how easily Ash takes to living with Finn and Tucker, who is just the most adorable little boy who clearly lives for ranch life. Finn is slower to warm up but that's just his general personality but he quickly cannot deny there is something there that draws him to Ash, as well as finding him extremely attractive. The first issue is that Finn is currently, in some way, dating Ash's sister. Then there is that he has never been attracted to another man before.
The reader is in store for a treat here because the scenes between Finn and Ash are scorching hot, even when there is no contact between them! Damn, these two sure know how to light up the sheets. The one thing I wasn't too keen on is the timeline between Finn and Violet, and Finn and Ash but the author has written this very well. The tension definitely builds between them all but is handled well.
I also enjoyed the Moore men. The family work very closely together on the ranch and make sure to have family dinner at least once a week. I think that there are gonna be some more great stories to come in this series, and I hope there is one for Gentry too, Finn's father.
A great read that is entertaining and hot to the touch. Highly recommended and Ashley James fans will love it.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Disclaimer this is my first MM single dad nanny book, but it will for sure NOT be my last.

Finn was everything and so much more. It had me in all the feels, it had swoon worthy moments and the tender moments.

I loved Finn and Ash’s relationship and how they helped each other along the way.

The side characters were amazing and I loved the small town feels.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Obsessed

This is going to be another amazing series!

The slow burn of Finn and Ash was so freaking delicious! The tension was thick...it was juicy...it was...ugh! Finn was already a great dad and seeing how much he wanted to give Tucker everything and take care of him is so swoony. The way Ash slotted into Tucker and Finn's life and brought his sunshine with him? I just couldn't get enough. Seeing Ash and Tucker together made my heart just melt (just as Finn's).

The whole twin thing, while unfortunate, really gave that tension/drama without having to have a third-act breakup. It had a clear purpose and it delivered! The whole "daddy" thing in bed isn't really my thing, but it just worked with these two. I feel like it started off as a cute "brunch daddy" joke and evolved into something for them that reallllllly worked.

Can we also just talk for a second about how Tucker calls him "Mommy Ash" in the end?!? Ugh, be still my heart! Kids are the freaking best.

We also need a moment to appreciate that "f*ck it" moment because I about passed out.

I cannot wait to see where the rest of this series goes because lord I'm already obsessed!

-MM romance
-Bi-awakening
-Single Dad x Manny
- Ex gf's twin brother
-Cowboy x city boy
-F*ck it moment
-Forced proximity
-Daddy kink
-Opposites attract
-Grumpy/sunshine
-He washes his hair

Thank you, Ashley James and The Author Agency for the ARC.

Finn by Ashley James was narrated by Gregory Salinas and Alex Kydd. I’m new to both these narrators and absolutely loved them for Finn and Ash. Alex really stole the show for me. This book was more on the spicy side and both narrators did a fantastic job. Alex as Ash was perfect. He was playful, funny and his voice for Finn was hard to differentiate from Gregory. I absolutely adored Gregory as Finn. His gruffness was perfect but what really sold me was how he didn’t try to hard to mimic a female voice. His inflection for Violet wasn’t overdone which made the narration of that character far more tolerable (even if the character herself is a bit of a pill). Overall, I gave this narration 5 stars. I felt both narrators did a great job and brought these characters to life quite well.

Finn is the first installment of The Moore Men series by Ashley James. Finn is a 29 year old single dad to a four year old son. He is casually dating Victoria, a 25 year old woman who lives and works in the same town as him. Victoria’s twin brother, Ash, has recently been laid off and is in need of a job. Consequently, Finn’s live-in nanny has just resigned, and Finn is in a pickle. Ash takes up the mantle as Finn’s manny at Victoria’s recommendation, and so begins our tale.

Finn and Ash are immediately drawn to one another, whether they let the other one in on this or not. Ash is openly gay, but this is a first for Finn. Eventually Finn breaks up with Victoria and they give in to their attraction to one another. I did enjoy Ash’s educating Finn on various things one might come across in such a relationship. Sometime insta-love doesn’t work but this one flowed well. These two were cute together

I will say that ”daddy” didn’t work well for me here. I love this kink put to page, but it didn’t feel organic at first. It wasn’t deal breaker for me though because the spicy scenes were still great.

Overall this was a light enjoyable read. There was just enough conflict that resolved itself in a timely manner. The world was set up well and I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series. (We really have to wait until book 3 for Gentry, Ashley? I neeeeeed to know his story!) I received an ARC of this book and this was my honest review.

I loved this book!  It was a sweet bi awakening love story with great family and wonderful little boy!!

Finn is a grumpy daddy to a sweet little boy who needs a nanny.  When his current hook up recommends her brother he is against it.  But Ash is the perfect one for the role.  As Finn and Ash start to hang out Finn wants to know more about Ash.  And Finn is starting to feel things and look at Ash differently.

One emergency leads to Finn admitting those feelings.  But there is the coming out to his world and the sister he had a relationship with?  Is it too much baggage to try?
