One thing I know for sure when reading an Ashley James story is a filthy mouth MC and Finn and Ash did not disappoint.

Finn is the grumpy closed off single dad cowboy whose son comes first in everything especially after his sonโ€™s mom walked out. He doesnโ€™t really do relationships because his main focus is Tuck unfortunately Violet didnโ€™t really get the memo so when she offers her brother as an solution he is on the fence.

Ash is the extroverted ball of sunshine who has just been laid off from his job as a teacher, when fate steps in offering him a chance to return home with a job as a manny. As sunshine Ash is he is dealing with his own insecurities when it comes to his twin.

They couldnโ€™t be more different right down to their taste in music but they work so well. Ash brings out more of Finn and Finn helps Ash heal old wounds these two were so well together I forgot about Violet .

Violet is Ashโ€™s sister and and Finnโ€™s friend with benefits but she absolutely does not get the hint like at all in any capacity at times I was like girl get a grip you are embarrassing yourself. I did not feel sorry for her in any form

We get to meet Gentry Finnโ€™s Dad and Hollis Finnโ€™s brother it is very obvious everyoneโ€™s main focus besides the ranch is giving Tuck everything he needs you can see there is no shortage of love for him. The dynamic of the Moore family is easy to fall in love with and I cannot wait to get more of the Moore men.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The relationship between Ash and Finn was so hot and so sweet. I love a grumpy x sunshine romance. Ash hasnโ€™t had much love in his life so it was really nice to see how caring and tender Finn was with him, giving him the love that he deserves. I also liked how easily Ash bonded with Finnโ€™s son, Tucker. I adored Finnโ€™s family, theyโ€™re loving and welcoming and like to give each other shit, which is always amusing to watch.

The narration was amazing. Alex Kydd and Gregory Salinas are both narrators I enjoy and they were the perfect casting for Ash and Finn. I think playful characters are Alexโ€™s strong suit and he portrays Ashโ€™s personality flawlessly. I also love him in spicy scenes so he really amplified the heat in the spicy scenes in this book. There was a spicy scene that spanned 3 chapters and it was so hot that it took like 15 minutes for my brain to recover ๐Ÿ˜…. I really enjoyed Gregoryโ€™s portrayal of the different parts of Finnโ€™s personality โ€“ grumpy rancher, doting father, vulnerable lover, caring and protective boyfriend. Both narrators really brought the story to life.

As much as I enjoyed those parts of the book, there were parts that ruined the overall experience for me. (to avoid spoilers, Iโ€™m going to be vague) I did not enjoy how the whole โ€œgirlfriendโ€™s twin brotherโ€ aspect of the story has handled. From the beginning I saw red flags but I decided to let it play out with the hopes that the characters would redeem themselves. They did not. They way they treated Violet (Ashโ€™s sister in the end made me so furious that I was only half listening to the last few chapters. I think the portrayal of Violet, in the end, did not match up to what weโ€™d been told about her and Ashโ€™s relationship and twin closeness.

I think this could be a good book for you if youโ€™re reading for the spice and the feels. A lot of people donโ€™t seem to have the issues I did, but I canโ€™t in good conscience recommend this.

That being said, itโ€™s my first book by the author, but it wonโ€™t be my last. I have a few of her books on my TBR, recommended by friends, and Iโ€™m also curious about Finnโ€™s brother Hollisโ€™s story so I will definitely be revisiting this authorโ€™s work in the future.

ALC in exchange for an honest review.
Ash has just been laid off and calls his twin sister Violet in a panic about what he is going to do. Thankfully Finn who she has been dating for a couple months has found himself in need of a new live in nanny for his 4yo son Tucker at short notice, so it's a good job Ash is more than qualified for the position and Finn agrees to interview him. The interview doesn't go smoothly, and Ash is convinced he won't get the position and will end up living on his sisters couch, which would be less than ideal... however, Finn is convinced to give Ash a try, so he moves in, and the story goes from there.
Single dad/nanny, ex girlfriendโ€™s twin brother, forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, bi awakening, and a sprinkling of daddy kink... say less! This was right up my street! What I enjoy about awakening stories like this is the journey of self discovery and ultimately acceptance that the character goes through, sometimes it's smooth sailing and others it's more bumpy and Finn initially hit bumps on his journey so seeing him eventually reach an understanding and acceptance about himself and his feelings made for great read.
There is tension and chemistry between these two from the moment they meet and that continues to build until it snaps and that's where the delicious spice I've come to expect from an Ashley James book comes into play. Yes there is a decent amount of spice in Ashley's stories but she also weaves the emotional connection and heartwarming feels throughout too so this felt very balanced and believable to me, and I loved the development of Ash's relationship with Tucker, again it struck the right balance and felt natural and made for some really cute moments.
Alex Kydd & Gregory Salinas do an incredible job narrating this story in dual narration. Alex does really well voicing playful/sassy characters, and his portrayal of Ash was great. Gregory's more serious/broody tone really suited Finn and the things the character goes through in the story, and both were great delivering the banter and spice throughout. Overall, this was a fantastic listen. It releases on March 6th, and I highly recommend giving this a go. ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ๐ŸŒถ

"Daddy Finn is mad... and I like it."

"Something carnal took over my body, something I didn't recognise, and suddenly, doing exactly as he was begging me was all I could think about. I had a one track mind for Ash and the way he was making me feel."

"He's the person occupying more of my mind than I care to admit. The one who's confusing me the most. The one making me question everything I thought I knew about myself. He makes me nervous, and I don't do nervous."

Wow. Okay. Ashley. I'm gonna come clean here. I knew this book would be good but I worried how it would go after the Copper Lake series. Well ma'am. You KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!

This book is so incredibly beautiful. It's fun and deep and sweet and swoony and hot!!! I loved everything about it. Book 1 in a new series, too! Finn is daddy and fully freaking man. He's the rancher, single dad, masculine cowboy. He's serious and quiet and just ... Yes!

Ash is absolutely adorable and fun and so deeply insecure. But he's really not!! He's a fantastic man and a great person for both Finn and Tucker.

Ash knows he's gay. He has been out for a while and is comfortable in his own skin. After becoming Finn's employee and Tucker's nanny, the two men begin to feel something. The feelings are very new and somewhat confusing to Finn, but he's so perfect that he is willing to explore and experience.

Tension, laughs, tears and genuinely magical moments are all part of this book. I really liked it so much.

Ashley is an automatic read/buy author for me because she's just that good. Thank you for writing these amazing things and sharing with us.

Finn by Ashley James takes a fresh and exciting approach to the classic nanny/single dad romance, flipping expectations on their head in the best way possible. Instead of the usual dynamic, we get a male nanny and a single dad who's not only straight (or so he thought) but also in a relationship at the start. This unexpected setup adds layers of tension, longing, and emotional depth that make this story stand out.

Finn, a hardworking, rugged rancher, is in desperate need of a new nanny for his son, and in steps Ash Tudorโ€”his girlfriendโ€™s twin brother. Ash is everything Finn is not: bubbly, carefree, and unapologetically himself. From his tight yoga shorts to his awful taste in music, heโ€™s a whirlwind of chaos in Finnโ€™s structured world. But what starts as simple annoyance quickly turns into fascination, and then something much more dangerousโ€”desire.

The slow burn in this book is deliciously well done. Finnโ€™s internal struggle, his resistance to his attraction, and his eventual acceptance of his feelings are all written with so much care and authenticity. Ashley James captures the complexity of sexual identity and self-discovery in a way that feels raw and real. And letโ€™s not forget the spice because wow! Once that tension snaps, it SNAPS.

Ash is an absolute delight. Heโ€™s funny, confident, and a breath of fresh air. His chemistry with Finn is off the charts, and their dynamic is both heartwarming and hot. I loved seeing Finn open up, challenge himself, and fall completely and utterly for the last person he ever expected.

If you love slow burn tension, forbidden attraction, and a romance that challenges societal expectations while delivering on sweet moments and steamy encounters, Finn is perfect!

Highly recommend! ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’™

Finn by Ashley James is the first book in the Moore Men Series. This book follows Finn Moore, the eldest son currently working side by side with his brother and father on the Moore Family Ranch. Heโ€™s a single dad to four year old Tucker who just might be the cutest, most entertaining four year old ever written. Violet and Finn have been dating for a few months but Finn isnโ€™t looking to make things serious or permanent.

Ash is just barely making ends meet living in Portland, Oregon. He has always loved kids and after receiving his degree in Early Childhood Development, he took a job as a teacher at a daycare center. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints, heโ€™s laid off after 3 years of employment. Unsure how heโ€™s going to make ends meet, his sister comes to rescue and asks her boyfriend, whoโ€™s in desperate need of a live-in nanny to consider hiring her brother. Finn doesnโ€™t like the idea of hiring a family member of his girlfriend, however, he doesnโ€™t have many options and Ash is very qualified for the position. Forced proximity and tiny yoga shorts will eventually have Finn questioning all kinds of things about himself and what he wants for his future.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Finn and Ash were such a perfect pair with loads of angst between them and Finnโ€™s ever growing feelings for the brother of his girlfriend added another degree of drama to the mix. Ash for his part was clearly torn between what he wanted, what he knew was wrong and trying to do right by his sister. Be warned, the cheating trope is a main theme in this book so if that isnโ€™t your thing, you may want to steer clear.

Tucker might be one of my favorite characters ever written by Ashley James. He is such a sweet, cute, intelligent boy and I loved every scene he was in. She really encapsulated every four year old Iโ€™ve ever met and I just couldnโ€™t get enough of him.

This book was sweet, sexy, spicy and angsty mixed with what the love of family, friends and close community can offer you when times are tough. Finn was a great start to a new series by Ashley James and left me excited for the next one.

Just what I needed to coax me out of a mini slump. Ashley James has a no fail formula that works. This is the first in a new series. Single parent/nanny is not one of my favorites by any stretch - but the exโ€™s brother so is. Ash just seemed adorable and fun and feisty. Finn - starts out grumpy, except when it comes to his son. Which makes it easy for Ash to get under the grump to the soft gooey center. The cast of side characters were interesting enough to want to learn more about them is subsequent books, without being overbearing. Except Violet - she can get stuffed.

Thanks so much to the Author and the Author Agency for a chance to read and review prior to release.

Holy moly. I was completely addicted to this audiobook. When I wasnโ€™t listening to it, I was thinking about it and looking forward to hearing more of it.
There were a few things that made me laugh, and a lot of things that made me giddy. And when the spice hit it was soooo hot. And the narrators did a great job with it and I think they both, but especially Alex Kydd narrating for Ash, made it even more hot ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿ˜…

I loved these characters. I loved their chemistry, I loved their differences and I loved how well they fit together despite of that.

I canโ€™t wait to read more books by Ashley James. ๐Ÿ˜

Out of all of Ashley Jamesโ€™s audiobooks, this narration by Alex Kydd & Gregory Salinaโ€™s is definitely my favorite out of her all books. Gregory was amazing by Alex knocked it out of the water, especially the emotion and just how he narrated those sexy scenes.

Iโ€™m not normally into the daddy kink but wow, it was so spicy. I was dying laughing when Ashley left his key at home and was calling Finn โ€œDaddyโ€ to the ring light. That scene was so perfect.

I loved it when Finnโ€™s brother teased him about asking out Ash. Priceless!

The whole grocery store scene with Tucker and his Daddy was so sweet. Tucker is the sweetest little boy ever and I just loved the relationship he had with Ash. The whole conversation with Tucker and Ash about him being his mommy was just the sweetest thing.

Not going to give any spoilers too much hit the way that Finnโ€™s sexuality got outed and when Ash went all protective on that was just so sweet because he really wished Finn had done it his way.

And Ashโ€™s sisterโ€ฆ I feel like the woman is a straight up psycho just by how she acted.

This first book in this series was so good. It definitely left my expectations high for the next book. The found family was absolutely amazing wonderful. There were so many amazing parts in this book and I wanted more. The way the epilogue wrapped up was absolutely perfect.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I swear everything Ashley writes just keeps getting better and better.  Finn and Ash were such fantastic characters, you felt everything they were going through.  The pining and love was felt on each page.  Finn's struggle with his feelings towards Ash was real and emotional.  Then the way he made ash fake loved and supported was everything.  They truly had a magnetic pull and connection.  Ash was fun and cheeky, he complimented Finn's broodiness.  The other characters were also well done, especially Tuck.  He was simply the cutest and his love for Ash was so strong from the beginning.  Finn's family was fun and so supportive as well.  I can't wait for their books.
