I swear everything Ashley writes just keeps getting better and better.  Finn and Ash were such fantastic characters, you felt everything they were going through.  The pining and love was felt on each page.  Finn's struggle with his feelings towards Ash was real and emotional.  Then the way he made ash fake loved and supported was everything.  They truly had a magnetic pull and connection.  Ash was fun and cheeky, he complimented Finn's broodiness.  The other characters were also well done, especially Tuck.  He was simply the cutest and his love for Ash was so strong from the beginning.  Finn's family was fun and so supportive as well.  I can't wait for their books.

Ash has to move back to Wolf Creek, Texas after getting laid off from his job in Portland. his twin sister suggests he should be the live-in nanny for her boyfriend, Finn Moore. little do Ash and Finn know how much that suggestion would drastically change both of their lives

after eating up Ashley’s Copper Lake series last year, I had a feeling her new Moore Men series was going to be equally as good and I was not disappointed. I love Ash’s bubbly personality and how naturally caring he is, making Finn open up from his usual grumpy self. I was 1000% LIVING for the single dad trope and loved seeing Ash’s dynamic with Finn’s son Tucker. Tucker is such a cutie and loves his daddy so much (along with Ash). and yes DADDY indeed😮‍💨🥵 I could not get over the mail scene where Finn accidentally opens Ash’s package👀 and Finn and Tucker in the grocery store🥺😭 my heart couldn’t take it

I cannot wait for the rest of this series and to read the other Moore men’s relationships. I can totally see granddaddy Gentry getting his own book and I cannot wait for that😩

if you made it this far, I’m going to leave you with a spicy quote🔥

"𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧' 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧' 𝐚𝐬𝐬," 𝐈 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐥. "𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐨𝐲, 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐲'𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐤."

Did someone turn the heat up?  Goodness, this book was HOT.  Like, so hot, I had to pause it a few times because, well, I needed a minute.  I loved the way that Finn and Ash's story developed. Finn is the classic grumpy rancher and Ash is the ray of sunshine he needed in his life.  It was a bit of a gentle dance, with a little teasing and a lot of curiosity, but it felt real and emotional at the same time.  I loved the dynamic of Finn as a single dad and the way that Ash cared for Tucker was really sweet and endearing and made me like him even more.  Ash didn't shy away from the hard, emotional moments and I really enjoyed the open communication between him and Finn.

Ash is a bit of a brat with his taunting, but I liked that he didn't force Finn into anything, but was open to help Finn explore.  Once they were together though, Finn's alpha traits coupled with Ash's Daddy Kink was just really fun and really explosive.  There were so many things in this book that I could talk about, but the standout here is the porch scene. That scene was hands down the sexiest moment of this book and it was riddled with really hot moments so that's saying a lot.

The audiobook narration by Gregory Salinas and Alex Kydd was absolutely perfect.  Their voices blended so well together that it made their story even better.  Especially the saucy and sexy moments.

If Ashley James writes a cowboy-style series, you know it’s going to be good. After falling in love with the Copper’s Lake series, I needed this book ASAP—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. This story is pure, swoony goodness.

Finn is the ultimate grumpy single dad, and then there’s Ash—his sunshine-y, caring, and completely disruptive counterpart. Their chemistry? Off the charts. There’s just something so addictive about opposites attracting, and this book absolutely nails it.

Now, having a kid play a big role in a romance can be hit or miss for me, but Tucker? Loved him. He’s important to the story without feeling too grown-up or unrealistic, and he adds such a fun dynamic between Ash and Finn. Plus, the way the book explores introducing a new partner to a child? So well done.

The spice? 🔥🔥🔥 Incredible. Though, with the daddy kink, it got a bit repetitive at times. That said, the dirty talk? Immaculate. And I loved being inside Finn’s head, seeing him wrestle with his emotions and desires.

I cannot wait to see where the rest of this series takes us!

This book was everything! Ashley writes with such empathy and passion and brings understanding to tough topics, so while my heart is breaking, she also lifts it up knowing that all the love and perfection is waiting at the end.

Ash Tudor is the best combination of sweet, just a bit awkward, and so extremely loving I adored him from the moment he stepped on the page. He also has the dirtiest mouth behind closed doors 🥵 Ash is quietly confident and I admire that he knows who he is and is comfortable in his own skin. Yes, he has a smidge of family drama, Violet takes a bit to swallow down, but she was instrumental in helping her brother find his job with the Moore family, so I gave her some leeway, but only some. Tucker, Finn's son, adores Ash and it says so much that a four year old takes to him immediately and loves him unconditionally. Tucker is precious.

Finn Moore has only viewed himself as a straight man, even though he's surrounded by those who are in unconventional relationships, but it isn't until Ash walks into his life that he feels something for a man. For the first time ever Finn is confused. Yes, it's easy to admit that Ash is magnetic and it's easy to get pulled into his orbit, so much so that eventually he doesn’t want to leave. These two are beyond hot🔥, but more than that they are a beautiful example of what every couple can strive for. Oh, I also want to mention that the Moore men are just all around amazing.

Loved, loved, loved all the ups and downs about this book and especially all the feels!!!!

We have it again from Ashley James. A new series with some new men to swoon over. Finn & Ash were such a delight to read. Their easy connection was so fun. Ash found himself having to move back to a small town after years in the city. Unsure of what to do, his twin sister was able to get him the job with her boyfriend to take care of his son Tucker who he of course fell in love with. Finn, single dad, no nanny, and a girl he considers just casual has her brother come to nanny, and boy… does it change his life! Finn had a big revelation when he fell for Ash and the way he struggled to wrap his head around it to ultimately accept it so easily was beautiful. He didn’t run from it much and just accepted that Ash was meant to be his. To top it all off, this story was really brought to life by Gregory Salinas as Finn and Alex Kydd as Ash. They each took on those characters and really brought out the cowboy & the city man in each and the story was so easy to picture with these two narrating. This duo was perfection.

Ashley, what do you put into your books?! Another 5⭐️ read

Finn and Ash are 🔥🔥 Watching Finn go through his bi-awakening was so beautiful. Seeing the two of them loving each other and choosing each other and just BEING for one another? I loved every second of it.

The tension that comes with falling in love with your twin sister’s boyfriend that you are nannying for is just ::chef’s kiss::

Ash just fit so effortlessly into the family Finn and Tucker made. He immediately had a connection with Tucker and Finn opened up to him in such a vulnerable way. Finn is a big grump at the beginning and having Ash around really pulls him out of his own head and allows him to have the space he needs to navigate this big sexuality/life event.

All of the side characters are great (though I really struggled with Violet) and I can’t wait for Hollis’s story!

The banter was great, the spice was phenomenal, the story was just amazing. I listened to the ALC and it was fantastic! The narrators are great (I mean, you can’t go wrong with Alex Kydd!)

This was such a great read!! I read it all in one day, just couldn’t put it down!

I don’t read M/M or bi-awakening often but I’m getting into it more and more. I really dig the bi-awakenings and for me, this one is so good! I loved how it came on, Finn being all flustered and not knowing why. His initial reactions to his attraction to Ash (before he realises it’s attraction) had me gigggliiingg: “Why the f-ck am I thinking about my nanny’s nipples?” 🤭

I loved Finn’s inexperience with men and how that dynamic played out with Ash in the bedroom. Speaking of the bedroom…the spice is spicin’! 🥵 Really hot scenes.

The combo of Finn as a quieter, gruffer cowboy through-and-through and Ash who is more of an artsy, chilled, and perhaps a bit domestic type is really nice. You totally get why they fall for each other and it’s fun to see them connect and open up to each other.

The girlfriend’s twin aspect makes this have an extra forbidden layer. It’s a tricky dynamic but is written well. The tension of the bi-awakening in conjunction with the girlfriend’s twin just amps up the tension and makes it gripping/fascinating. It is pushing a boundary so I could see some people having difficulty with the dynamic but I’d say hang in there!

I also loved the family aspect, Finn’s family is pretty great and I also liked how Ash and Tucker (Finn’s son) get along.

This is my first read by this author. Really enjoyed the writing style, character development, and pacing. If this is consistent for her, I’ll definitely be checking out her other books at some point hopefully soon!

Very, very hot, but also a heartwarming story. Definitely recommend!

Edit: I initially gave this a 4/5 ⭐️ in Feb 2025 but I can’t get it out of my head all these months later in May 2025 and am now even doing a re-read via audiobook and just loving it. So I am upgrading to a 5 ⭐️!
