This is quite possibly the most masterful superhero comic book written in the 21st century and a great political statement as well.
A very interesting take on what would happen if Superman landed in the Soviet Union rather than the United States.

For even the casual comic fan such as myself, this is a wonderful read. With such nice shades of gray, this is a much more compelling read than the regular Superman mythology. I also love the way that it incorporates Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern into the mix. A real blast!
An excellent alternative universe/history of Superman and the usual DC comic superheroes - not to mention the unexpected twist ending that relates to the title Red Son/Sun!
