A wonderful commentary on our society today. I hope society's ending is as good as the book!
Not as expertly done as read-a-like "The Rooster Who Would Not Be Quiet," but strikingly illustrated and not too heavy-handed to be a turn-off for kids while still making a clear enough connection to real-world events to appeal to grown-ups.
There is a lot of undertone messaging in this book. Great illustrations and really fun to read between the lines.
This is a great example of pictures books being "everyone" books, not "little kid" books. This book can start fantastic conversations at all ages. And I appreciate that is doesn't rely on allegory - it addresses global warming, creationism, and European conquest in its facts. Little kids won't get all the details, but there's enough story there to engage both kids and adults.
And people freaking out that it's dark don't seem to notice that it ends optimistically that the facts prevail! All about this book!

This was such a glorious little picture book about misinformation and fake news. Powerful, hilarious, and hopeful.
