OMG THAT ENDING!!! Not a perfect book at all but i can ignore all the stuff I didn’t like just because of how much fun I had reading it. I couldn’t keep this book down

I read this in two days and I never put it down I ate slept and breathed this book until I finished it and can’t wait for the next one

I still don’t know if I love this book or I hate it. I had so much fun while reading it, I really like Xaden or Ridoc, even Violet (just a little tho). The plot was amazing and even though I predicted some things, I still was shocked by some events.
Also I have hate-love relationship with romance in this book? I love the tension between Violet and Xaden, I love their interactions, I was going crazy when they showed a little bit of affection to each other. Still, sometimes it was just??? too rough? too vulgar? and I think this change in Xaden from cold bastard to the person who knows how much he loves Violet, was a little bit too fast, but I still enjoyed it.
In the end, I really like this book, I think I’ll recommend it to other people, but sometimes it gave me the ick. Still I’m gonna read the second part and I’m going to enjoy it

My first ‘hate read’ of the year.
Aside from the needless sex scenes, it’s really not that bad. The hinted magic and lore make this an accessible if not fulfilling book, and the FMC is a total self-insert, however as an avid Dramione writer, I can hardly blame Yarros.
I’ll finish the series, if only for completionists sake and to wash the sun eater disappointment from my mind.
