emotional informative inspiring fast-paced

This was a helpful book for me, the anecdotes and examples were realistic and applicable. A little off put that she never mentions where her approach to care came from, aside from more or less seeming to say that she came up with all of this herself. And that seems a little weird considering there's a whole field of respectful/attachment parenting out there? But anyway, I did find this book a good resource and will recommend it.

I had followed Becky on Instagram for awhile before listening to this book.  I would still highly recommend this book.  I really like that the first half (third? ) of the book talks about the theories, research,  and science behind what she "tells parents to do". Then the rest of the book each chapter focuses on a specific behavior.  It starts with a scenario that most parents can relate to,  talks about what may be behind these emotions/ behaviors,  then goes through different  strategies of how to handle/ change the behavior.  These chapters also give specific scripts too so you don't have to come up with what to say to your kids.

While I really enjoyed the audiobook (author read it herself) I feel like I need to buy this book to have on my shelf as an easy reference book for if/ when I need to address behaviors with my kids.  I would recommend this to have on your own bookshelf and as a great baby shower gift!

Great read,  informative but relatable.  Can be applied across multiple age groups.
