The first four parts of the book were very boring. There, I said it. The plot was very slow and the characters themselves weren’t that interesting. There were so many themes of racism and culture that could have been explored but weren’t.
I had a lot of expectations going in to the book, and they were all pretty much let down. The one redeeming thing is the ending, I definitely didn’t expect that.

Kind of on the fence about this one. On the one hand, the story was good. On the other, I thought the book was pretentiously overwritten at times, and I really *hated* the way a sentence would be broken up over several lines. That conventions quickly got on my nerves.

I liked the end but for most of the book I didn’t know if I was enjoying it or not. I think this would be better as a movie or miniseries ☺️

i was really confused for a good portion of the book, but it made the conclusion that much easier and helps you understand the main character’s perspective. i still have some questions after reading it, but i literally read this in a day because i was just drawn in

So this one has been on my TBR for so long and I saw it all over tiktok a couple of months back so I got interested to read it and when I saw it at the Works one day I picked it up this is about four teenagers I guess and what happened summer 15 were one of them hit their head on a rock and now has some memory problems but nobody seems to talk about it what I found really strange like the moment let her go back for two years she made excuses like she needed to go to Paris or something with the dad because they split up a couple years back but I bought it was because she didn't want her seeing her old friends the liars at one point in this book I thought she was in a coma and all of this was buttered dream this book did keep me interested but it's not my favourite book I can't really say much out about it I did like the little so and I hated how she kept on calling her mum mummy so annoying
