DNF Gonna stop. She sold the Grim Reaper the duck. Do not care to follow this storyline through, even though I’m sure it turns out fine.

Describing books is sometimes hard for me… this isn’t what I’d call a rom-com or fluffy book. I’d describe it as a feel good, life lessons, celebration of life, with some relationship/love stuff thrown in. I enjoyed listening to this book as it was read by Julia Whelan (side note she was the narrator for Nothing To See Here audiobook- highly recommend).
Laurie comes home to go through her great Aunt Dot’s house after she dies. Through unpacking Dot’s life Laurie has to come to terms with her own. Really enjoyed this story. Will read more by Linda Holmes (Evvie Drake Starts Over was my first intro to this author which I really enjoyed).

When I first started reading this book, I noticed that the characters don't talk like real people saying things out loud -- they talked in a way that clearly and quickly communicated things to readers. I stopped noticing this after a while, and I'm not sure if it's because the dialogue got better or I just got used to it. (Don't care enough to check)
The story is fine; I'm glad that stories exist about different ways to be together, but this one's not the sort of escapism I really like.

This was a refreshing palate cleanser that I enjoyed even more than her last book. I'm not sure why it was so important to mention multiple times that she was a size 18, but other than that I though the book was well done. Bonus points for sexy librarians.
I enjoyed this story about a free-spirited nature writer who returns to her home in Maine to clear out her beloved great-aunt’s house, encounters an old love, and goes on what might be called a wild duck chase involving a wooden duck decoy found among her aunt’s possessions. I thought it would be a typical rom com and it wasn’t.
