A little cat and mouse, who is the stalker story that had a surprise ending. Great twist!

Reminiscent of You, this book is basically a 300 page warning for oversharing online. Audrey is an influencer with a million followers, but one in particular will do whatever it takes to be with her. The story alternates narration between Audrey, her friend Cat (rising lawyer with ghosts from the past), and the mysterious stalker. There are several potential leads for who the mystery man could be, but ultimately, I found the reveal and ending anti-climactic. The fact that the author was inspired to write this after stumbling upon a reddit thread that discussed people hacking into others' personal devices and collecting images from their daily lives is the most terrifying part. Keep your accounts private, y'all.

Definitely a good pick for fans of the Netflix show You.

I love a super modern thriller like this.

This was just okay. I really didn't like the characters and felt the whole story was very anti-climatic.

I read "Follow Me" in one evening. It was captivating. I absolutely had to know who the stalker was before I went to bed, and it was so creepy I thought I would have bad dreams (but I didn't.) It was a cinematic story - I think it would make a good movie with just the right amount of jump scares. I enjoyed the twist ending and how it tied in with Cat's secret, and the last chapter kept the creepiness going.

Speaking of the last chapter, don't look to see how many pages it is. It'll give away too much.

Fans of the movie "Ingrid Goes West" will enjoy "Follow Me" (and if you liked the book, check out the movie starring Aubrey Plaza.)

it started out so promising with creepy, suspenseful chapters, but ended like a train wreck. it felt very disjointed and rushed in the end with very little answered. pro tip: put tape over your laptop camera.

2/5⭐️ this book was enjoyable but very predictable! Also I thought that Audrey was unbearably self absorbed but maybe that’s the point. I didn’t really like any of the characters and thought they could have been more likable and flushed out.
