Huh. Well… this war against Negan is getting repetitive and frustrating. Sure, they used zombie blood as a biological weapon which was new and clever… but it’s just not believable that Rick can talk Negan into submission and agreeableness after establishing how brutal of a villain Negan is. And the end? What happened to the rule “You kill, you die”? I get what Rick is trying to do by keeping Negan alive and showing him how he can change the world for the better and set more humane rules… But again, it’s just not believable that they’re in the middle of an “all out war” while Rick, Andrea, Dwight, and Carl have plenty of opportunities to kill Negan and they don’t. Mhm. I wonder how the story will continue.
Meh. Big lead up in Kirkman's style. Love the spread of Rick and the knife. Total letdown in the conclusion.

I don't like Carl
Please keep in mind that my review is a bit conflicted since I've seen the TV show as well.
I was not a huge fan of the dialogue and 'ending' of Negan in the end of the war with the saviors. It sincerely seemed as though Negan's character had been rewritten to be less methodical and smart in this volume. Despite that, I'm uber excited to see what future Rick builds.

War. Lots of war. Seems like its been awhile since a major character has died. But really at least 2 died in the last couple of issues. And Rick is still around. And Carl. I'm just hoping we are done with this bad guy for awhile. Its time to get on to other things. And wow I think I've gotten used to the zombies. Still 11 more issues to go. 3.5 of 5.
One word, anticlimatic.
I kept holding my breath for the shock moment that just never came. I was almost certain that one of the major characters would die, but I was wrong.
I am majorly disappointed by this one, it was too unbelievable namely, Also Carl looks a bit like Maggie, it's really weird. The artwork definitely isn't the best IMO.
So disappointed but it had some redeeming moments too, Negan was great up until the end, and I just love Jesus. He is so badass.

Spoiler
Rick gives a speech to Negan about community and working together and Negan actually agrees. Isn't Negan supposed to be a psycho? Suddenly a little speech makes him change his mind completely?! It was too out of character for him it didn't make any sense. But what made the least sense was Rick deciding to spare his life and imprison him. What the hell? I get Ricks vision of the future but they aren't there yet. Capital punishment is one of the only ways to keep order in those kind of circumstances. I just disagreed entirely. Maggie also commented that she thought that Glenn would have agreed. Uh Maggie? He beat Glenn to death - I think Glenn would have shot him in the face.So disappointed but it had some redeeming moments too, Negan was great up until the end, and I just love Jesus. He is so badass.
A bit chaotic for my liking. The lead up to Negan and Rick's dialogue was intense and action-packed, but lately I've lost interest in the comics.
And as for Negan's swearing and f-bombs, it just makes his character tacky and immature (It took me by surprise when he started dropping the f-word every sentence lol).
I hope the whisperers and their plot line pique my interest again.
