It definitely is plain....I didn't find it exciting

It is hard to judge a book without reading the next half.
For me the end of the first book is neither exciting nor do I feel like giving up...

I didn't found anything delighting about the book. The story is normal, characters are not strong. Only if the writer has given emphasis on the story or at least on the leads but no he was busy improving the erotic scenes. The story lacks direction, emotion, and dialogues are quite unimpressive.

The first book in the Forever duology Forever is a Lie is written by Novoneel Chakraborty. The story revolves around Prisha and Saveer's love life accompanied by some mysterious shadows. The eyes of a girl on the cover page are alluring.

Prisha was 18-years old when she first met Saveer, also known as Mean Monster in the Bengaluru party circuit. Being a 34-year-old, Saveer ignores her first and considers her as a teenager; who doesn't know anything about true love. Prisha had a break-up, and somehow Saveer's words helped her to move on. She was obsessed with him, follow him everywhere with her friends, Diggy and Gauri. He brings her dark side in front of her.

Soon the circumstances changes and their relationship started to flourish. They were so engrossed in each other that they avoid unusual signs which state that they were not meant for each other. Saveer has no kith and kin, no friends. They all were dead, but the reason was not mentioned in this book. Prisha's life is also at stake, but Saveer didn't share his secret with Prisha, just like his dead ex-girlfriend, Isha. He has a pang of guilt, but he didn't learn his lesson. Honesty is the key that Saveer lacks in his relationships.

The story felt flat and monotonous. It picked some fascinating elements in the end, but it was too late. The characters were okay, they do all the stupid things which we expect from 18-19 years old. The language is simple. I read Cheaters last year and enjoyed it very much. I have high hopes with this one, but I am utterly disappointed. The book lacks a thriller. I am not sure if I am gonna pick the second book any soon or ever. If you're new to reading, looking for something light to read, then pick this one; or just leave it.

2021's first read....which turned out to be a really bad choice.

Same old Cheesy story which is written to adapt into another cliche teen drama. Heartbroken girl. Mysterious, rich "Bad boy" but actually is a good boy. Revenge tale to validate someone's non-existent life. Quotes on True love, Forever love. And that's pretty much it!

18-year-old Prisha who hasn't yet recovered from her previous heartbreak encounters this guy known as "Mean Monster" who gives her some basic common sense that sometimes it's better to move on. Intrigued by this amazing theory she chases him.
