I did mostly enjoy the book, the magic system was interesting and I really loved Fin as a character. But I just couldn't get behind the romance. It seems like there is a "magical explanation" for their attraction but it just didn't sit right with me. I also am a little peeved that I got invested in the war plot and nothing came of it in this book. Undecided if I'll try reading the next one in the series.
