Awww I absolutel loved this one 🥰
Despite the hard hitting topics at times, I always felt like I was wrapped up in a cosy blanket. Great cast of characters and cosy atmosphere 🥰 not to mention the food descriptions 😋

Fin is so likable and complex. I love how the supporting characters had their own arc. A very good book

The audiobook's narrator had some... interesting... Performance choices for Kraken and the gang of cats. This was off-putting. Additionally, there were a lot of heavier elements for a "cozy" book that I'm not sure are handled very well, in addition to some pretty high stakes. I've read that these stakes and heavy themes feature more prevalently in the later books.

While I do like the idea of a male house witch, Fin isn't a good enough character and the writing isn't good enough to justify pushing through those other elements for me.
