This book was sweet. I loved the characters, especially that Aiden was a hockey player who was kind and thoughtful, not out sleeping with every girl out there. I enjoyed Saige, too. Their little hangouts all over the cities they visited were so fun.
While the concept was cute, I had a hard time with the pacing. I wasn’t hooked from the very start because the beginning seemed all over the place. It did settle after a few chapters and I got into it more.

Gorgeous!
This book was fun - gorgeous characters, sizzling chemistry, witty banter and ridiculous superstitions. I loved Aidan and Saige and their HEA and can’t wait to read more about the other characters in their orbit.

Aiden isn’t superstitious until he finds himself in a slump that ends when Saige throws a glass of white wine in his face. He convinces her to continue doing it, going so far as to have her travel with him.
They’re attracted to each other, but Saige has been burned by an athlete before. She lets him continue to believe that she’s dating his agent. Until they give in. But what happens if Aiden goes into another slump? Will it be Saige’s fault, too?
***
I liked both Aiden and Saige, though Saige was kind of a boneheaded for a while. And then Aiden was a bonehead. But the story was mostly low angst and a fun read even if there were a few tears.

This author duo is one of my favorites for a reason. I can always count on them to give me a book that will make me smile, give me joy, and remind me that family comes in a plethora of ways. I am not normally a fan of sports romance but for this duo, I was ready to take the chance. I am glad that I did because it was very well crafted. I liked the superstitious aspect of this book because I have real-life friends that are this way and know that regardless of the sport they all have their beliefs of what construes a lucky streak.
Aiden and Saige were great characters. I felt their connection throughout the book and enjoyed watching them turn something that was a less than idealistic start into a continuing tradition and the start of something more. Had a great groveling scene too. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Piper Rayne has moved to the Hockey arena in this new series. Lucky #13 and ladies and gentleman I felt real lucky after reading this book! Is there anything that Piper Rayne cant write? Oh man where to start! I think with every series I fall more in love and just enjoy the worlds that this duo creates for us. Holy hotness is this cover to start that will have you saying put me in the Sin Bin pls lol. Next lets talk about how I can never pick a book boyfriend because every story they win me over. Aiden is swoony, sexy, manly, funny and overall will have you hoping for a hat trick . Sage is the sassy heroine that gives Aiden a run for his money after their encounter at New Years Eve Aiden believes she is his Lucky charm. What to do now? well deals are made and you should see how the season plays out. Their chemistry was off the charts! I loved the side characters and I say it frequently when reading from this author that the side characters always is inviting and will make you want to be part of the group. Indeed this first book of this series was a great start and I am even more excited to see what's next. Please more Hockey Hotties!
