“I lied earlier.”“About what?”“You are my friend.” The brightest smile I’ve seen from him transforms his face, and I go back to resting my head on his shoulder and let my eyes drift closed. Even if we can never be more than friends, this feels good, too.
My Lucky #13 is a lighthearted, fast-paced, and SPICY hockey romance.
Aiden Drake is captain of the Florida Fury hockey team and lucky number 13; but he hasn't been so lucky lately. That is until he meets Saige Fowler at a New Years Eve party where she throws wine in his face. Aiden is out of his slump, scoring goals for his team. Saige agrees to throw white wine in his face before every game. Aiden's feelings for Saige begin to grow the more time they spend together, but Saige is seeing his agent, Joran, and that's a line he doesn't want to cross.
This was my first sports romance read, and I am so glad that I decided to give this genre a try! I couldn't help but mentally cheer Aiden on when he was on the ice. The chemistry between him and Saige was great from the start. Aiden was so sweet to her, but I understood her concern and fear of being hurt by another athlete. Once it got spicy, the spice didn't stop! If you're into sports romance, workplace romance, friends to lovers, or fake dating, this is for you!

This was absolutely adorable!
I wasn't sure what to expect as this is my first Piper Rayne novel. She has an amazing writing style and her characters were cute as hell. This is my type of sports romance, I will definitely be continuing the series!

This was a fun vacation read! Aiden and Saige were a cute couple - and I thought the pacing of this book was appropriate to keep me engaged but was also light enough that I could easily come and go while reading on vacation. If you want a fun and steamy hockey romance, I highly recommend.
