I adored Aiden! He was a genuinely good guy while being a great athlete. That’s not to say he doesn’t screw up royally, but he makes up for it Saige is a strong woman, but a bit relationship shy. The way this relationship grew was fun to watch and I love the way Piper Rayne’s mind works. It was a fantastic story and now I’m eagerly anticipating the next book.

It’s a sweet and spicy romance between a hockey captain who needs a lucky charm and a Social Media Manager who doesn’t believe in luck. Aidan and Saige have instant attraction, but they also have a lot of obstacles to overcome. They have to deal with their pasts, their careers, and their feelings for each other. I loved how they grew as individuals and as a couple. This book made me laugh, swoon, and cheer for their happy ending. It’s a must-read for hockey and romance lovers.

Loved Aiden and Saige!

From the very beginning I knew this would be a slow burn. But oh, that burn was sooo worth it.
This book encompassed everything I love in a book - playful banter, cameos appearances from other characters I have loved, sexual tension you could cut with a knife, sports, and of course, all the swoon!

These ladies can rock any book, it seems, no matter the storyline.

I’m very much looking forward to the next book in the series.

Sports players have their superstitions, but what happens when you have a player who doesn't believe in superstitions? He's just that good. He's just that talented. He's just that cocky.

Until he's not.
With the looming threat of a trade, he needs to figure it out, and he does - with our FMC - who ends up being his pre-game ritual.

I thought the pre-game ritual was hilarious!!! I lived for it. I enjoyed how the MCs became friends through it all because that's the recipe that creates such a strong relationship. The author set this up to be a wonderful foundation relationship for future players to refer to and reference in the background of their stories.

Out FMC was a bit lackluster for me. I wanted more sass, more personality, more something. She just felt like she was along for the ride? It's my only criticism, though.
