Interesting hockey romance with a solid building of relationships before we hit the steamy scene. Third act break up and make up happened in the last 20 pages, which meant the ending was extremely abrupt.

Ah yes, we have a new hockey series by the lovely Piper & Rayne and I was intrigued with the new set of characters to fall in love with.
And it all started with a glass of wine thrown in Aiden's face ;-) That was definitely one of my favorite elements of Saige and Aiden's story. With Aiden's career not going well, superstitions are coming in and he hones in on wine thrown in his face before every game. I totally understand having superstitions especially as an athlete, but I loved this specific one.
But it also made me a little nervous because it's easy to have your thoughts go "is that why Saige is here, for his game"?
However, I did love the budding friendship that Saige and Aiden developed, they definitely spend a lot of time together. And everything just flows effortlessly between them. Aiden is absolutely a genuine guy and even though Saige was dating his agent, he was respectful about it and didn't want to cross any lines.
This is definitely a sweet romance that many will enjoy, there were a few aspects that I'm not big on reading about in my romance reads. And that's what kept me back from absolutely loving this, but I am pretty interested to see what's on store for the Hockey Hotties series.
