Quick easy read but the story was lacking and the characters just didn’t do it for me
Aiden and Saige - a hot hockey player slow burn
The way Aiden and Saige’s feelings for each other were slowly amped up interaction by interaction while they were both pretending they were not feeling anything was delicious perfection. It was one of the best slow burns I’ve read. This is the first book in the Hockey Hotties series. Aiden is the captain on a Florida Fury, a hockey team. Saige owns a social media management company. They met at a New Years Eve party where Saige was Aiden’s agent’s date and Saige ends the night throwing a glass of wine in Aiden’s face. Aiden’s next game brings him out of his 9 game slump so he asks Saige to throw wine in his face before every game. As they travel from game to game and spend time thus begins the journey to their HEA. There is growth for both of them as they deal with their pasts and their beliefs in order to make their relationship a priority. This was a fun, sweet, steamy read. I’ll definitely be continuing the series.

“I swore a long time ago that I’d never date a professional athlete again. Been there. Done that. Shattered heart to prove it.”
This was a fast, cutesy read. Nothing special but it was fun. I was frustrated by from the third act breakup, and Saige forgave Aiden too easily, but other than that I enjoyed it.

I loved the friends to lovers progression of this story between Saige and Aiden. It flowed so naturally, even though they believed they couldn’t be together romantically. Their chemistry is explosive and sometimes I just wanted them to give in, but this slow burn definitely kept my attention.
Hockey, social media guru, friends to lovers, Mr. Steal-Your-Girl, HEA

Hoopla listen narrated by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood.
I somehow thought I listened and if I did, I don’t remember and didn’t leave a review. Shame on me because I really enjoyed this book. It was a little predictable but that only worked in its favor.
Jason could read Morse Code to me and I’d be happy. Add Savannah and it’s narration perfection!

I had high hopes for this book, and I was not disappointed!
I fully enjoyed My Lucky #13, and am excited to see where this story goes. I fell hard for the characters, and so help me, Piper Rayne had better give Tedi her HEA. That woman is a riot, and I have a feeling her book would be full of humorous moments. Loved the characters, loved the setting, management is irritating me, and I cannot wait to see what happens next. In Lucky #13, I loved the connection that Aiden has with his family. That just warmed my heart. I loved the steamy moments, the dates, the friendship, all of it. Really the only thing I had issue with was management, and the fact that Saige never told Aiden that she wasn't with Joran any longer. That's it. Those are my two issues. One last thing, at the end of the book when Saige did what she did for Aiden, I cheered. Legit shouted YAY!
Hockey romance + slow burn + Piper Rayne + new series = success
