I honestly just picked this up because I wanted a light and easy romance. It had a cute and interesting premise so I thought it would be extra fun. Then, it turns out, I got conversations around the different types of platonic and romantic love, the importance of therapy and complexities of mental health challenges, and a confrontation of problematic issues around shows like The Bachelor. This book made me cry! In a good way! It was a little saccharine and *maybe* predictable, but not in a bad way. I really loved it and got WAY more than I thought I would get out of it!

Fell in love with the characters right away! I identify with Dev for his ADHD burnouts, and Charlie as a demisexual! Love to see ace representation in a romance novel!

“Because there is nothing more terrifying than standing up in front of the world and declaring that you deserve love.” 🥺

i li la loved this!!! het einde was echt fenomenaal en de queer rep, vooral de demisexual (!!!) rep was echt geweldig. ik heb dit echt opgegeten

i love charlie to death xx

just the perfect happily ever after :( love that it talked about mental health and this book made me ugly cry so ig that’s a sign that it’s a great book !!

This is hands down one of the best romance books I’ve ever read. I loved the mental health representation, I loved Dev and Charlie so so much. I need this book injected in my veins. I was at the 20 percent mark according to my Kindle when I said fuck it and kept reading from 10pm to 2am even though I’m in the middle of exam revisions and can’t function without sleep. I feel more than a little crazy, because I’m spending more and more time upending my sleep schedule to keep reading incredible books. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’m finally finding the right books for me or if it’s a bad sign for my health and well-being.
An incredible book. It had me feeling all the perfect romance novel feels from giggling at “practise kissing” to going noooo whyyyy at some of what was happening (all while understanding why the characters were acting this way and wanting to hug them both)
