For those who are not fans of Chetan’s books, or haven’t read his books yet, I would say, you pickup this book if you want to kill a boring afternoon with ‘a quick read’.
I love it. Can't wait to watch the movie. It's simple yet interesting. And hats off to Mr. Chetan Bhagat for his wonderful ability to pull many things through a great sarcastic writing style. This is probably my most favorite book written by him :)
The plot is mostly your typical Bollywood movie. While it is fun to watch such a plot, it is not that fun read one, unless you are looking for a "time-pass". However, I liked the insight into each community that was provided in the book. While I understand that the two communities would have been painted with broad strokes, it was nonetheless nice to know that Sri Lanka and them share certain idealogies. The humour is brilliant, and had me choking with laughter when .
A good read with sufficient depth and issues to keep one engaged, while being light enough for an evening read.

I think my biggest problem with the book was that I didn't like the main character. I didn't connect with him. And I only started to like Ananya once she started to be a bit more defiant and shown her strong nature 'cause until then she didn't feel much like a character to me. I think both of the characters just weren't developed enough individually and as a couple. I also think the ending of the book and the resolution was too quick. I expected the therapist segment to have more importance and Krish's depression to be felt in the writing a bit more. He described the notions but I didn't feel it actually happening - like mentally. And then to have it all resulted simply by his dad going to Chennai. Having his conflict with his dad resolved by him simply going to Chennai. I just didn't find the writing that striking.
I still thank my friend for giving the book to me.

The book is the real life love story of Chetan Bhagat... Its a beautiful story which revolves around love marriage and different cultures... The book is a bit lengthy and some discriptions are really unnecessary...overall its worth reading
