I finished!! Totally binge read this and it was great. I'm not a huge fan of most the story being a flashback, but it was done well and I cried over some of it.

Not a huge fan of the extras again. The last three were my favorite of the eight. Now, that I've finished, maybe I will watch The Untamed.

2 out of 3 series read! I'm looking forward to reading Heaven Official's Blessing all the way through!= next!

At first, I was skeptical about reading MDZS simply because I had no idea about the plot or characters of the story, and I thought it was nothing special—just another mainstream thing. Oh gosh, how wrong I was to think that way; now I’m embarrassed… 
MDZS is the first Chinese BL novel I’ve read, and it truly surpassed all my expectations! Everything about this novel is great. I enjoyed both the detective and the romantic sides of the story and fell in love with so many beautifully drawn characters and their relationships. I literally devoured all five books in a couple of weeks, and now I’m sad because I don’t want this story to end. 
Wei Ying, my poor precious boy, just how cruel society is to you. :( This world doesn’t deserve him at all💔💔💔
