Brooke is in desperate need of a buffer between her insane family and herself if she plans to make it through her grandmothers birthday celebration in one piece. She hasn’t been interested in dating since the last fiasco with her ex-husband. This is how she gets the foolproof plan to advertise for a fake relationship on her social media page. She wasn’t really going to go through with it anyway. Not until she accidentally posts it. And she certainly wasn’t going to accept a blind date until a seemingly funny and perfect fake profile wants to meet up.
Moss Carmichael doesn’t do relationships and he certainly never puts himself in a position where he could fall in love. Not after what happened the first and last time he was in love. This makes working with the gorgeous Brooke very dangerous for him. When his brothers meddle in his private life and he suddenly ends up fake dating the only woman in real dangerous of stealing his heart he knows he’s in serious trouble.
This mutually beneficial situationship seems like the perfect fit until these jaded coworkers discover that even though their hearts have been broken before that doesn’t mean they aren’t at serious risk of falling again.
Okay I’m calling it now. I’m already gone for the Carmichael family. I knew they were going to be hilarious with all the meddling and antics based on Paige’s book but I was still surprised by how much I already love this family. Adriana writes big family dynamics like no one else. You can’t help but get deeply invested in each individual member and what they bring to the plate. It’s too soon to pick a favorite yet but I’m very intrigued by the quiet and antisocial Foxx. Moss definitely has solidified his place as a new book boyfriend. Especially after the showdown with her family. Any man that will put up with that family without running for the hills is a keeper.
If you love a big rowdy family, fake dating, jaded in love hero/heroine and workplace romance you have to check out Flirt which is available now!
Thanks so much to Adriana and Candi Kane PR for providing me an early copy to review!

5 Stars!
Thanks so much to Adriana Locke for the advanced copy!
I think I have a new favorite family. The Carmichael’s took me completely by surprise- the interactions between the siblings and the dynamic between their parents made me laugh throughout this entire book. The pranking scenes between the various Carmichael boys were just the icing on the cake of this cute romance book.
Moss and Brooke start out as good friends, but when Brooke accidentally posts a “situationship-wanted” ad, the Carmichael boys and their mom decide this is the perfect opportunity to set Brooke up with Moss. Brooke and Moss go from being best friends, to deciding that they’re going to start up a fake relationship not only to show Brooke’s family that she’s happy and successful (her family SUCKS don’t even get me started) and also to use this as an opportunity to mess with the rest of the Carmichaels. Obviously, Brooke and Moss are meant to be- they’re open and vulnerable with each other, and Moss’s support of Brooke throughout the book is just such a wonderful thing to see in a romance book and exactly what I wanted. Adriana Locke continues to raise the bar with each of her books and I know that when I pick up one of her novels, I’m gonna enjoy every single page of it!

I would really give this a 4.5. Good concept and meaning, but it happened so fast it feels like.

overall thoughts:
After loving The Relationship Pact, I thought I'd read some more from Adriana Locke.
This was a cute friends-to-lovers story! This story didn't go super deep, but it didn't need to. Moss and Brooke were cute together, and I loved Honey too.
scattered thoughts:
• Friends-to-lovers is a difficult trope to get right. I really enjoyed Moss and Brooke's friendship and banter, but because they were attracted to each other basically from the start, it felt like there wasn't much more room for their relationship to grow because they were already basically together, just minus acting on their attraction.
• The writing was solid overall; I found that some of the banter really worked for me and some of it was just okay/a tiny bit unnatural. But my expectations were pretty high going in after having a great time with TRP.
• I loved the little street that all the Carmichaels live on. (Maybe unrealistic, but so cute.) The pranks that the brothers did to each other were a lot of fun, though there were so many brothers that I had a hard time keeping track. I do look forward to reading their books though!
• The villain (Brooke's mom) was a little too Villain. I wish there'd been more depth there. The final conflict was a bit melodramatic for my taste, but the resolution was good.

Loved it! So cute & real.
Only question is what is with the penguin texts?

Oh my word! Flirt is just one word to describe the Carmichaels!! We are in for such a fun ride with these fellas. Seriously y’all…the way Mad & Banks do everything together I’m wondering if they do ‘everything’ together
