The Carmichael's are the newest family to come from Adriana Locke, and let me tell you I need to buy a house on that street...although I need security cams before I move in :) With all the pranks that happen in that family, photo evidence is going to be needed! But when a brother's prank goes a bit wrong, it's nothing but fun times for Brooke and Moss, who work together and are good friends. Both damaged from past love, they agree to fake date to stop Brooke's family from harping on her life choices. What I love most is their honest conversations they have with each other, they both keeping the other apprised with their thoughts. Great Chemistry, fantastic banter with the brothers and an all around beautiful love story!

"Those f*cking ducks"

Moss Carmichael is determined never to fall in love again. He's perfect in every other way, except he is afraid to give his heart away. This does not negate his attraction to Brooke Bailey.

Brooke has worked for the Carmichaels for a couple of years at least, and she's valued. Unfortunately, her family is pretty ugh for the most part.

She accidentally posts a request on social media for a fake date for her beloved grandmother's upcoming 85th birthday party, which is how Moss finds himself playing her fake boyfriend. Fake doesn't last long with these two.

Brooke has been betrayed by her mother, her aunt, and her ex. 2 or 3 years down the road, she's willing to risk her heart again for the right man. But he's got to be willing to give 100%.

This is a story about past betrayals and past heartbreaks. It brings two people together who suffered different losses that left them feeling broken, until they figure out that they aren't broken when they're together.

Who said problems can't be the solutions?

Every time I open a book by this author, I know I'm going to get an amazing story. One where I connect to the characters, laugh at the antics on the page, and get lost in the world she built. This book is the start of the all-new Carmichael family series and while I knew I would love the book, I was unprepared for the emotions that would grip hold of my heart.

Moss Carmichael. Yes, his name is a sentence all its own. I'm not sure I could ever think of the right words to describe him accurately. He's playful, charming, kind, protective, filthy-mouthed, and my absolute favorite of Addy's leading men so far.

Brooke Bailey is my sister from another miss. She's independent, smart, beautiful, funny, and can put all the Carmichael men in their places. She's starting over after realizing she deserves so much more in life.

I spent so much of this book wiping tears from my eyes from laughing so hard. I've fallen in love with each family this author has introduced me to, but these Carmichael men just might take all the cake and eat it too! I wasn't prepared to feel like I was standing in Brooke's shoes just asking for someone to love her with no strings attached. Moss and Brooke's friendship was this amazing thing on its own, that had mounds of tension holding it up. Once it reaches its peak, be prepared to fan yourself continuously.

It took me days to write this review. Each time I started, my emotions took over and I couldn't get across everything I wanted to say. I think I empathized with Brooke so much throughout this book and it was something so uniquely special.

Picking up a book from this author will NEVER be a mistake, but this Carmichael family I have a feeling will be extremely special.

I absolutely ADORED this. Moss and Brooke have a great working relationship but when she needs a fake boyfriend, Moss steps in. They have both felt an attraction but neither of them were wanting a relationship. Moss is everything and I love the way he is with Brooke. His brothers are hilarious and I cannot wait to read their books.
