FLIRT made my heart all gooey and squishy-all the butterflies, all the swoony feelings, all the happy- this just made my heart so full. One of Adriana Locke’s best- I simply adored this darling, feel good charmer from an author that always delivers on stories both steamy and dreamy.
The witty blurb sets the perfect stage for our story- with Brooke creating a cheeky boyfriend for hire ad that ends up finding its way on social media. And thanks to some sneaky family meddling, she finds herself with a fake boyfriend that she already knows - her best friend and co-worker Moss. Feelings simmer, baggage is confronted, and soon this situation gets quite interesting.
These two are just ADORABLE. Like I can’t even with their cuteness. Moss is the quintessential swoony Adriana Locke book boyfriend- charming, sexy, witty, clever, caring and a bit protective. He’s got some past baggage that has him hesitating, but you can help but fall head over heels. Brooke too has her own baggage- thus her decision to avoid relationships and instead just leverage a fake relationship to meet all her public boyfriend needs. She’s stoic and kind, clever and funny. Her relationship with Moss is so dynamic and sweet- I loved how they showed up for each other, how they started to grapple with their undeniable connection. Their chemistry wraps you up like a big hug, but it’s also got plenty of sizzle, even if the burn is on the slower side. But I love a friends to lovers dynamic, watching people who already share a real emotional intimacy as friends figure out how to evolve their relationship into something romantic.
And, as always, we have a great secondary cast to keep us entertained and to give the right push when needed- and these two definitely needed that push. The Carmichaels are so lovable, I hope to spend pages and pages with them. A great addition to this already delightful story, and the perfect use of a secondary cast to keep the plot moving.
Really loved this sweet and swoony story- can’t wait for more from this series!

LOVE!! Do yourself a favor and go read this INCREDIBLE fun, emotional, & steamy read! Moss and Brooke have a fun friendship that they turn into a spicy "situationship" so she doesn't have to face a family party alone and the steam just takes off from there. Love a friends to lovers romance trope and this did not disappoint!
I absolutely loved everything about this totally addicting, fake dating, workplace, friends-to-lovers romance! It is the perfect balance of laugh out loud banter, wonderful family saga, heartfelt emotion, and sizzling passion! Moss Carmichael and Brooke Bailey have been attracted to each other since the first moment they met, and started working together at Laguna Homes, the Carmichaels home renovation company. They are alot alike because they both love their work, have the same sense of humor, and are pretty laid back. They like how easy it is to be together, and they recognize they are everything they would each want in a life partner. But after past heartbreak, neither wants a relationship. Plus they don't want to mess with a good thing, since they work so well together. Their one difference is their family. The Carmichaels are fun, and unconditionally supportive and loving, where Brooke's family is the complete opposite. When Brooke needs a fake boyfriend for a family function, Moss knows he is the only man for the job. They are so perfect together and they soon cross lines that complicate everything, breaking both their hearts. I completely devoured this book! Moss and Brook are so great together! Brooke is kind, smart, and funny, and Moss is attentive, loyal, and thoughtful, demonstrating his love with every action. He is definitely a sexy hero who will make your heart skip a beat! I loved the whole Carmichael family from their over the top pranks, their hilarious banter, and especially how much they supported each other in their own unique and often hilarious ways. This is a great start to Locke's new Carmichael Family series! You don't want to miss this beautiful, hilarious, and hopeful romance about letting go of the past, and finding that forever love.
The absolute chokehold this author has on me right now. This book was so fucking good.
I love the Carmichaels!!!
Long-time readers of Ms. Locke knew Paige (Harlee) from prior books. "Sweet" tells her story perfectly. "Flirt" lets us know that she landed with the most amazing family possible. Every page made me fall in love with this family more and also made me happier for Paige that she was surrounded by so much love, so many brothers, and so much craziness.
As for Moss and Brooke - wow!! This is absolutely the sweetest, most adorable couple Ms. Locke has ever written. They are beyond perfect for each other. This book needs more than 5 stars!!
I cannot wait for the rest of this series!!!!
