Crazy, complete, just love
I loved Xander and Kayas story. Kayla was so strong but so sweet and Xander mirrored that as well. I loved their intense relationship and it brought a smile to my face so many times. I also needed a cold shower a few times too soo...

4.5 stars. Very fast paced. Loved the plot. I really didn’t like how he called her “woman” throughout the book. She said she liked it as a term of endearment but no thanks. Otherwise perfect!
Extremely emotional
This was a beautiful end to a beautiful world. I think I’ve cried and laughed through all the Butcher’s journeys. Nicci Harris has a way with emotions that just touches the soul. I truly came for the spice, but stayed for the deep and complex characters, the highs and lows, the love, the hate, the longing, the family problems, the bonds, sheer amount of different emotions I felt.

"I want to keep you,” he states, “Stay. Stay with me. I’m not easy to be with. I fuck up a lot—"
“No.” I lift my finger to his bloody lips. “No. You’re easy to be with. You’re the easiest thing in my life at the moment.”
“Not just now. All the time. Be the person who stays for me. Who listens to me. Who actually hears me. I need that person, Baby. Stay, and be that person.”
“I’ll stay.”
“Promise?”
“I promise”
Their Broken Legend is a 5-star read because of how much it made me feel. The story is not perfect and some plot elements feel ridiculous but both the MCs Kaya and Xander are raw, passionate, and intense. They along with all the secondary characters are quite amazing, especially Xander's family. I loved Kaya coming to terms with the truth about her mother, and the growth in their relationship dynamic. All in all, more than anything the story is jam-packed with a lot of emotions and great relations which is always a recipe for success in my book.

Nicci Harris did it again! I usually don't cry, especially with mafia romance. However, Nicci has made me cry multiple times with this series. This is a perfect conclusion for the Kids of the District series. Although there is still a novella I need to read. It will be so sad to say goodbye to the Butcher boys. I love them so much. You have to read the previous books in this series so you can feel the full impact of the Butcher brothers.
At first, I wasn't sure I would get behind the heroine because she came off very prickly and selfish, but Nicci gave her a great character arc. She really grew up and started to really analyze the way she treated her mother, sister, and men. By the end of this book, I was loving her.
Xander was such an amazing hero with a lot of damage. It was heartbreaking to read his journey and everything he went through. The last 30% had me crying nonstop. I love our Hothead and how devoted he was to Kaya.
I loved seeing my favorite Butcher, Max, who remains on my book boyfriend list. I loved the way Xander described max, it was dead on.
Out of all of my brothers, Max is the most intimidating. He doesn’t hold the power that Clay does or the insanity that Bronson airs, but he’s unforgiving and callous. Bar a handful of people, he genuinely does not give a shit about anyone else. He’d be the one in a zombie apocalypse that survives. He has no time to help the family on the side of the road—the one who is bait for the ambush lying in wake. He’s too focused on making sure we all survive. And his conscience is clear as fucking water.
The relationships he had with each of his brothers and father were so unique. I am so impressed by this series and Nicci will remain an auto-buy author for me.
