wow. you truly never know what someone’s going through. be kind to others and just as importantly- to yourself

i was pleasantly surprised by this memoir. beer does a great job to targeting the book towards a younger female audience with the messages and journal prompts. she is so open about her mental health issues which i really admire! and she also manages to stay grateful for her position while also acknowledging the challenges that come with it. love u madison!!!

this healed 14 year old me <3

This book is very well-written and articulated! I hate that Madison had to experience what she did, but think she’s using her story for an amazing purpose in trying to help others. Her being so open about mental health will help a lot of people, and there were a lot of moments where certain things were put into a perspective for me that I haven’t had before. I was a fan of her music before and didn’t know much about her, but I highly respect her after reading this book and appreciate how she is using her platform and participating in the mental health conversation.
