Wow, I had no idea she had been through so much. I started reading as a casual listener, simply curious about what she had to say in her memoir, but I never expected such a heartbreaking story. Hearing Madison narrate it while reading along added so much to the experience—you can truly feel the depth of her emotions. Especially toward the end, when you can hear her voice almost breaking, it makes everything feel even more raw and personal.

The only drawback for me was the journal prompts, which felt somewhat unnecessary. I picked up this book to read Madison's story, her memoir—not to reflect on my own life. That reflection happens naturally while engaging with her journey, so the prompts felt a bit out of place, as if they belonged in a self-help book rather than a memoir.

Still, this was such a beautiful and moving read, and I’m really glad I gave it a chance.

“You never know the silent battles people are fighting, even the people you think you’re closest to. You’ll never walk in my shoes, and I’ll never walk in yours. And we shouldn’t have to in order to empathise with each other.”

This felt like such an honest description of the positives and negatives of fame. Listening to the audiobook version of this made me feel Madison’s emotions a lot more deeply and I really valued hearing her story as a big fan of her music.

i absolutely loved this book. as a fan who has listened to madison since the beginning it was truly heartbreaking to read what she had gone through (and i didn’t even know about it.) her story and journey is so inspiring for young women who have gone through similar experiences and mental health struggles. thank you madison for telling your story to let girls like me know we’re not alone.

loved reading her story, it's a beautiful one.

I loved this book so much, the life stories Madison wrote and all the quotes r so amazing. This really reflected myself aswell because even though she’s famous she still has dealt with stuff that we have too. This really changed my perspective on many things and I feel so connected to her

very interesting and inspiring and it definitely shows off a different point of view. But I have to admit that I didn’t get attached to the story as I thought I would

I'm on a memoir kick, and this made me teary. Madison was really vulnerable in this and she's a really good writer/storyteller. I appreciated the way she wove her experiences and reflections/life lessons together in a way that felt authentic and gentle (it felt very cozy to read). She clearly put a lot of thought into how she approached broaching certain topics, and somehow acknowledged and addressed potential criticisms without sounding defensive.

I need to listen to Life Support again.
