The Half of It

Madison Beer

4.04 AVERAGE

I would recommend this book to any teenage or young adult girl. She grapples with the harsh realities of fame and living a life under the microscope of the public eye. In addition, she is vulnerable about her experiences with various traumas which are rarely talked about in such a vulnerable way.
I have never listened to Madison Beers music, but because of her courage and meaningful story telling I will.

i felt so seen reading this. madison is such an inspiration to me and i just love her so much. ❤️

Madison Beer loves her fans so much, and I respect that. I loved how she incorporated letters from them throughout the book and I thought the journal prompts were a fun addition.

The Half of It by Madison Beer is such a raw and honest memoir. It dives deep into her life, sharing her struggles with mental health, relationships, and the pressures of fame. You can really feel her vulnerability in the way she writes, making it relatable for anyone who has faced similar challenges.

As a fan for 10 years, I appreciate how she opens up about her journey, giving us a real glimpse into what it's like behind the scenes. The way she reflects on her experiences is both inspiring and empowering. I had the chance to see her live in March, and it was amazing to witness her talent firsthand. Meeting her afterward was unforgettable; she was so sweet and genuine, just like her writing. The Half of It isn’t just a memoir; it’s a heartfelt story that resonates with anyone trying to find their way.

madison beer the woman that you are.

i am so proud and in awe of madison and her strength. this book was very well written and madison is so intelligent and thoughtful with her words. i really admire and look up to her as an artist but mostly as a person.

Catch me in 25 yrs reading a madison beer memoir I need her to call ‘all of it’ and it will be about her daughter and her mom and i’ll cry ?? Xx

I had no idea about a lot of the things covered in this book and really respect Madison for being so outspoken about all of the hardships she's faced. I WILL say that only being 23 when she wrote it, you can tell she doesn't have a whole lot of life experience to draw from, which tends to cause her to repeat the same points over and over again throughout the book, but they're good lessons for young people to learn so I'll let it slide. Overall, this was a very interesting look into the world of fame and what it REALLY looks like (good and bad).
