Madison Beer is my favourite music artist, so naturally I had to read her memoir. after finished this, I just find myself in awe of her and her story and I found it really inspiring

I will not rate the book, because it feels weird rating someone's life.
I don't follow Madison's life or career, but i was interested in reading her book, because what could she write about at 23, right? Well, i can say that in some ways i relate to her.
She really opened up about her feelings. She has gone through some difficult stuff at such a young age and the fact that she still continues to follow her dreams is something amazing. I do hope she finds peace and happiness.

*audiobook*
Firstly I think this book is more of a self help book than a memoir. Had I known this, I wouldn’t have read this.
I enjoyed the first few chapters; learning about her rise to fame at a young age but soon the rest of the book was about her mental health struggles and from there, the story became dark and no longer enjoyable for me. I did DNF this for this reason but saw I had 50 minutes left of the audiobook so I finished it but didn’t feel any true benefit from doing so.
I applaud Maddison for being so vulnerable and honest and I understand that her MH is part of her story, but it was the lone topic for 90% of the book and for me, it became too much.

A quick read. She covers a lot of triggering topics, mostly around her pill use and nudes released. Parts of the book were Q&A. I liked some phrases she used in the “A” portion, made it applicable and therapeutic almost. I wonder how she’d do with a self help book. I couldn’t keep up with the timeline though of events through her life. Wish it was more chronological. I really connected to phrases used to describe how she processed friends/people that weren’t meant to be in her life.
a really quick read, and even though it was clearly written for a younger audience, i appreciated her candidness in telling her own story to this point. definitely changed my view of her as a person, though i didn't know much about her to this point.
