This girl has been through so much. Her talent and creativity are insane and I hope more people start to acknowledge that she's much more than a pretty face. Her ability to connect with her audience is what makes her stand out besides her incredible voice and beautiful lyrics. The book deals with very dark topics, but is written gently. I appreciate her vulnerability and hope that she continues to do what fulfills her.

I mean if you loved Madison Beer this would eat but like for me idk a bit famous people struggles yk which obviously doesn't relate to me. I really like what she said about being kind and I think I need to be kinder, I've been thinking this a lot recently and reading different books really points it out to me. A lot of the things about casual misogyny that is so present in the current world, which is something that I find important to me. How she talks about mental health idk it really make me think about my own self worth, which is often low but oh well I can move on. Other than that it was mostly about making music, popstars etc which I'd prefer in a fiction book as opposed to combined with the other real-life aspects. Maybe I did like this book as I've written quite a bit.

This was very interesting,my first memoir and i really enjoyed it and appreciated how vulnerable it was.
It feels so weird to rate a memoir so I’m not going to but I definitely recommend for anyone!

If you want to pick up a memoir, that is both short but very powerful and memorable this is it. I have personal been a small Madison Beer Fan, listening to her music here and there but you know still really liked her. I am not rating this based on the contents of it as it is a memoir about someones life, but the impact this made in me was just too much that I felt that giving it 5 stars was just right.

Last year or even early this year, I never thought that I would pick up a memoir but here I am. This memoir was written really well, and the contents are just heart-breaking. Reading what she went through was just a lot, she has struggled so much at such a young age.

Even though I am not her or have lived a life in Hollywood and being famous, I still saw myself in her story. It made me feel seen. She shares her story and her experiences in such an inspiring way.

Please check the trigger warnings, and I would really recommend listening to it and reading it at the same time to really get the full experience.

“So different types of pain can all exist at once. It’s not a competition of who has it worse. And someone else’s pain doesn’t take away from your own.”

“You have to acknowledge that the wound is there before you can take the steps to heal it,”

I was a child.

We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to reach certain milestones by certain markers. We compare ourselves to our friends and put ourselves in silent competition with the people around us. I need to have everything planned out by the time I turn eighteen, we tell ourselves. If I don’t have my dream job by twenty-five, I never will. If I’m not making this much money by thirty, I’m a failure.

★ 5 stars!!

first off: finished it, in one sitting and absolutely loved it. secondly: madison at only 24 years old wrote such a beautiful book. she talked about the struggles she went through, and as someone who was on the internet a lot as the same time as her pics got leaked, her situation with ex boyfriend jack gilinsky happened, etc. it’s insane reading it from her perspective. but i do agree with a lot of the points she made, why was the internet always so against HER? if any of the things she went through would’ve happened to a man there would’ve been repercussions, why was everything just okay? truly will never understand but i hope she has found some kind of peace after all of this.
