I loved NPH in HIMYM, and a library patron told me he narrates his own autobiography audiobook. The audio is very worth the time, because he is a great entertainer, not only actor. Writing his autobiography as a choose your own adventure is the kind of unique choice I'd expect from what I've seen and heard of him on TV and in the media. He adjusted the audio format well for the style, and I NEVER got bored learning more about his life and career or his untimely death. My favorite tale from the book is his journey having children with David, which highlights the quality of parents anyone can be that are determined to have children in a loving home. I would have liked more stories from HIMYM, but I feel that he gives a balanced account of his acting career. I laughed out loud numerous times while listening and usually had to force myself to pause the book.

Super fun and had me binge watching clips of Tonys and musicals :-). NPH is as entertaining in book form as in any other form!
Endlessly amusing and fascinating, this memoir was a treat to listen to. Narrated by Neil Patrick Harris himself, he brilliantly brings to life the nuances, sarcasm, and hilarity of all his stories. It was an interesting "Choose Your Own Adventure" format, but it didn't really translate well onto audio. I don't mind though, I had a blast listening to it. I honestly didn't know all that much about NPH, so listening to his memoir really gave me a great appreciation for him and his work. I can't wait to see what he does next!
Listening to this book, narrated by NPH himself, was wonderfully entertaining, as one would expect. I don't think I would have liked this book half as much if I had read it on paper. Only "criticism" is that NPH has too much of a charmed life, everything seems to go his way. Meeting the perfect man, getting opportunities to show his incredible talent, and even hitting the jackpot with the birth of his children. All seemingly with few obstacles to overcome. Still, very enjoyable listen.

Witty and fun, it entertained my inner theatre nerd!
I already love him + I have a secretly crass sense of humor + his idea of a choose your own adventure book = Top-notch creativity for my enjoyment!
What is real, what isn't? You decide! I will admit, there are a few TV movies he was in that I thought for sure had to be a joke until I hit up google. Also, if you have time, at least watch his opening numbers for the years he hosted the TONY awards. So good!

Although I didn't end up enjoying the choose your own adventure aspects of the book, there were moments that made me laugh out loud and others that were extremely touching, particularly as a parent myself. His descriptions of his life in the theater were some of the most interesting parts of the book and made me sorry once again that I missed seeing him play Hedwig.
It’s kind of confusing as an audiobook due to the format, but I love NPH and wouldn’t trade a physical book for being able to listen to him narrate it.
I could not put this down- just the right amount of humor, heart, and honesty to make an outstanding autobiography (even with the several untimely demises).
