Likes the book. The choose your own adventure part seemed cool at first and lends a good bit of amusement. However, it eventually got frustrating as I just wanted to read the rest of the stories. Guess I'm just a stick in the mud.

So this was an early birthday present from a friend of mine. I originally had planned to listen to this as an audiobook, but am really glad I didn't!
As an autobiography, it was a fun one.
It is made in the way of ''choose your own adventure books'' - which I've only tried one of - and in a rather fun way! (I only died once!)
The way the book is written makes so it's not boring to read.
While I've listened to a few autobiography's over the last few years, I haven't really read one, and don't think I would enjoy it much.
The way this one was written though, kept me on my toes, and kept the interest up - also, I didn't want to die!
This gives a good idea to what kind of person Harris is as well, and it's also seen in the writing.
He seem to be a fun and stand up guy - that looks good in a suit.
The language has a nice flow and is easy to follow.
All in all it was a surprisingly fun read, and I flew through it in a day - since then I've ''lived my life'' two more times to try and get everything there is. There's supposed to be a chapter on magic in there, but I haven't managed to find that again, so... magic?

I've never seen the second person used so much or so well. I smirked a lot while reading :)

“Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography,” by Neil Patrick Harris is a fun book with almost countless options to tell your own story. You are NPH in this lighthearted and poignant 2nd person narrative. The book is styled after the “Choose Your Own Adventure” series and is such an interesting way to write an autobiography. After choosing different paths, I finally had to go back to the beginning and read it in linear form, just so I wouldn’t miss anything. LOL!
Positively surprised how funny and at the same time endearing the book was. Pkus, i love, love, love choose-your-own-adventure books
This book was so funny! I love the way he tells a story. He not only told his story, bit has come up with ways to make it even funnier with made up options that "could have happened".
