I was expecting this book to be just good but it totally surpassed my expectations! It wasn't just good, but it was amazing! This book has ALL the feels. So glad I read it. The love story between these characters was not easy, but it was certainly worth the roller coaster of emotions.
I finished the book with a smile on my face and after reading Karina's Disarm, this one totally brought my spirits up!

Sigh. I need me an Alejo pls.
This book was overall great and the love and passion between the two MCs were just awe inspiring, especially the hero! I feel like age gaps especially when the woman is older leads to a lot of insecurities and conviction at the same time, and in this, Alejo definitely stepped up to the plate and really was the rock of the relationship which I just adore in my romances.
Definitely recommend picking up - especially for Real Madrid, Madrid (the city) and Spanish men lovers out there

i don´t get it. this woman is 40 years old and behaves like a 20 year old, ald lejos is 24 years old and behaves like he is 12.
Thalia talks all the book about how important her job is to her, but the disrespects her job for a man she just met and goes back and forth between jobs just because. she is so childish and when she quits se could have gone back with Alejo, but she doesn´t just because he is mad. you say you love him so much, but you can´t even fight for him even when the obstacles are not there any longer? i don´t understand her and i don´t get why she is so disrespectful not only towards her job and her colleagues, but also towards herself and her feelings.
Alejo also in so stupid and i felt like we never got to know him and the deepness of her trauma (i expected more when i read that very strong epilogue).
in some weird way this book was soooo long, and at the same time it left sooo much out

this book was super enjoyable and I devoured it! I had a dew issues with pacing and the fact that Alejo forgave Thalia so quickly at the end felt super rushed for the length of this book. By the last 30 pages I was skimming because it was dragging so much. I feel like half of the middle could’ve been reduced and the ending expanded more. Overall, this book was a great read and I can’t wait to read more from this author!
3 “sun of my heart” stars!
Where do I start with this one? On one hand I’m a big fan of the older woman – younger man trope, while on the other hand I didn't feel a connection (other than physical) between the main characters. I did fly through this book and there were plenty of delectable scenes but here are a few things that irked me and had me bring down my enjoyment.
Being a woman over 40 I thought that I would be able to connect more with Thalia but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I found it hard to believe that she would make the choices she did when it came to Alejo, especially after her divorce from her (previous co-worker) husband and being raked through the coals by the media. She has spent all of her career as a sports therapist fighting for her position in a male-dominated profession and yet she was so willing to throw it away.
I felt that Alejo showed his immaturity throughout most of the book. Never seeming to care what could happen to Thalia if their relationship was discovered…I mean, come on, we all know that she would be the one being fired! No one is going to fire the “golden boy” from the team. He spoke plenty of swoony words of his undying affection for Thalia but I never quite believed him. It felt like he was mistaking his physical attraction, and the thrill of doing something forbidden, for love. That could be just me as there are plenty of other reviews on here that state the opposite.
I wanted there to be more of a deep connection. I wanted my heart to ache for this forbidden love. I wanted there to be undying devotion. I wanted…
I don’t think that I would have enjoyed this book half as much if I hadn’t been reading and discussing along with the wonderful Melanie.
