I’m torn on my feelings on this book. I liked it, but it was hard for me to read. The book is about boy-girl twins, Zach and Mia, and Lexi, who is Mia’s best friend and Zach’s girlfriend, as they navigate their senior year of high school. From very early on, I knew what the “one decision that would change their lives forever” was going to be and I felt really anxious leading up to it. I don’t want to give away spoilers, but maybe this particular thing is a trigger for me?

The story is thought-provoking, especially as a parent. It is also heartbreaking in so many ways.

This was a hard book for me to read and I kind of just wanted it to be over because of the subject matter even though I enjoyed the characters and overall storyline.

This has been my least favorite read of KH. I have always enjoyed her story telling however even as a mother this one just didn’t hit as the others.
