I was expecting this to be more focused on the dragon and the romance between agnieska and the dragon because I swear i heard from some grapevine that this is a take on beauty and the beast but I did end up really liking this once we finally got to the Wood and the story and magic behind that.

This was fine, but not at all like I expected it to be. The pace was so slow that even the fantasy elements weren’t engaging, and the writing style was dull and so tedious. The overall concept was intriguing, but couldn’t get over the tone and style, and unfortunately didn’t like the romance at all either. Stuck with it for the overall plot just out of curiosity to see how it would end, but probably should’ve DNF’ed.
