I'm so sad to be leaving the world of the Cursed Legacies! I truly enjoyed this series. I rated this one lower not because of anything wrong with it. Just a preference that I didn't love it, as much as the other three books. This one seemed to drag on longer and there wasn't as much action as I wanted. Maybe because it was in two parts. Still love Maven and how she is so unlike most main female characters.
As far as RH goes these 5 really do seem to belong together and work amazingly well. I love the aspect of telepathy in these books. I am also glad that *SPOILER* maybe, she didn't ask to have a baby and it wasn't resolved in the end. I always hate when authors think that the happy ending is with having a baby and to me it's not. The birthday scene with presents, loved ones and cake made it so much better.

I love this series but not this book.  This last book was clunky and mostly an info dump.

Too much Frost not enough Silas. Frost just got irritating after a while. It seemed as though the author didn’t like writing Silas. He ended up with almost no page time. Turned into nothing more than a way to move the plot along. When he did get page time it there was no depth to him. Silas, who was one of the mist interesting characters, only got one or two lines max where everyone got pages of complex narrative.

I will miss these characters but I am also a bit disappointed in how superficial this plot was and how poorly Silas was treated.

Really fun journey with Maven, Solas, Everett, Crypt, and Bael. I loved all of the character development and constant moving plot. So hard to pick a favorite guy, which I think is great. Loved that Maven was atake charge badass, but also flawed and dealing with trauma. We can be both ❤️

Wow, what a series!

To start with, I do have to say that this book took me entirely too long to read. I don't know why, but like 8 days or so?
To me that's never a good sign with books.

At first, I thought that was because I wasn't liking the book, but I was enjoying it well enough. The banter with these characters is unparalleled and their romance is adorable, so of course I was going to enjoy them.

And I did honestly cry at some parts! This is all the mark of great writing

But to be honest, this book felt like it was just wrapping things up. I was trying not to check out. It didn't feel like it should've been a whole long separate book. Honestly, it felt like it could've been shortened and put into the previous book 🥹

Overall, I did thoroughly enjoy this series, and I would highly recommend it, but sadly this book just didn't have the same draw as the previous books did
