Thank you for the ARC!!!

I swear I always say “this book is by far my favourite!!” But honestly??? Ripple Effect is simply perfect!!! I am so sad I’ve finished it because I did not want it to end!!

Elio, my poor broken boy

Where to begin??
I absolutely ate this book up.
I have no idea how to describe the way this book made me feel, I knew it would destroy me but goddamn!!

I feel like the pace of this book was really nice, you could literally witness them falling in love and heal throughout the whole book.
Both characters have been burned before and they were exactly what each other needed to move on.

Daisy is this really talkative, outgoing person and immediately tries to befriend Elio. She’s also extremely selfless and jumps on the opportunity to help Elio despite not knowing him that well yet.

Elio is on the softer, quieter side but not because he’s shy, he’s just really guarded and has a LOT going on.
He doesn’t want to become a burden to his friends and family so he bottles everything up.

Both of them were really relatable characters in my opinion, which made me like them even more.

I loved their dynamic, it was very sun gf and moon bf kinda vibes.
They’re both really supportive of each other, have great communication, and shut down potential miscommunication real soon, which i appreciated SO much.
They are literally the greenest flags ever.

I also loved we got cameos from both last books (crying over zaddy Luca as we speak)

Overall this really made me feel fuzzy inside, destroyed me and became a comfort read.
I WANNA HUG THEM AND PROTECT THEM

Thank you so much Ki for sending this arc to me

ARC READ — 5⭐️ my beautiful sunshine couple are here! firstly, i want to thank ki stephens for the arc! i loved everyday minute of the book. reading this book made my heart so full. daisy is such a ray of sunshine. it surprised me just how big her heart is. elio is deserving of all the love he receives. reading how they show their love and care for each other throughout book was beautiful. i miss them already <3

This book is just absolutely comfort personified. We all love a softie girl, but I think the soft boy is so damn underrated, Elio the very best one. I love all of the Coastal books, but this one is extra special.

Elio is tired. His job as a sex worker is draining him, he's a little bit lonely, and physically, he isn't feeling well. He meets Daisy, who is the very definition of an easy-going sunshine girl, who has come to Coastal for grad school and is looking to make new friends, and something inexplicable draws them to each other almost immediately.

Elio has a medical emergency that leads to Daisy moving in to help take care of him, and their friendship grows as they learn more about each other. It's a slow burn before what they have blossoms into full-blown love, and the journey is tender and just soul-achingly beautiful.

The openness and vulnerability that Daisy and Elio have with each other is so special. They talk, they communicate, and they are vulnerable and wide open. Daisy gives Elio the friend group he had been missing, and Elio gives Daisy the warm and loving family she has always craved. They share a dog that they adore, and they figure out what they need together. They are both hurting a little, but their relationship is so healthy and respectful that their story is low angst and just so, so beautiful to read.

Okay I LOVED this. I was so ready for Elio’s story and it did not disappoint. He and Daisy were so cute and I loved how this played out.

Elio has a heart condition and when he needs a friend, in comes Daisy Grey. Daisy has just transferred to Coastal and is doing long distance with her boyfriend. That is until he dumps her. And in comes Elio to be her friend.

These two have my heart. Elio was so sweet and Daisy was so patient with him. I loved how their relationship developed throughout this!!

ARC Review
Ripple Effect by @kistephs
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Releases November 21

I was not prepared for the emotions this book brought out in me, but I loved every second.

I cannot applaud Ki enough for the work she put into rounding out Elio’s character. If you have read the Coastal University series, we have watched him in his lowest moments from book one, to now in book three for some of his highest moments with sweet Daisy Grey. His character development was truly spectacular. I love the broken boy that is secretly sunshine trope. Elio put in the work and continues to put in the work to maintain his sobriety and I’m so proud of him!

Daisy Grey was the epitome of sweet sunshine girl. The way she shone brightness into the lives of anyone around her was so special. The way she loved and protected Elio was heartwarming. These two truly portrayed the friends to lovers trope in such a beautiful way.

Also Bentley, the geriatric golden retriever, that loves to watch David Attenborough films must be protected at all costs!!!

I think this became my Favorite Ki book yet!! Elio and Daisy Grey (and Bentley) forever

this is my favourite in the series in terms of the characters but i didn’t enjoy the storyline. i wish there was more romance scenes and less unnecessary chapters. the epilogue was sooo cute.

Ki stephens you will always be famous but-
I thought i was about to get some asexual representation especially as the MCs were not too interested in sex for various reasons. I just thought that was where it was going. Ill take what i can get though because daisy and elio were lovely to read about.
Its just that im kinda tired of every romance having to have smut in it. every single relationship isnt based on or dependent on sex and i feel like this book had all the ingredients to show that but instead went down the road most travelled.
OH i did like how elios sexuality wasnt made to be a big deal. He likes what he likes and we didnt have to hear an entire monologue about it.  being queer is normal and doesnt have to have a big dramatic heartbreaking story attached to it. Although it did kinda but not in that way! Jackson was a piece of shit.
I did enjoy seeing elio’s progression from the first book to this one. Its like i cant even believe he was the same person who fucked luca’s shit UP. all love to luca.
