i absolutely adored daisy and elio, this book might just be my favorite of all her books.
it had everything i wanted in terms of storyline and character development and cameos from the other couples
one of my favorite parts was how i got the opportunity to fall in love w both daisy and elio as individuals and as a couple
elio was someone i was slightly suspicious about based off his appearance in other books but after getting to know him, i can’t help but feel proud of the way he’s progressed so much from spring tide
and daisy my princess !!!! she’s such a light of a character and it’s clear she loves with her whole heart, despite everything going on in her life. i love my extroverted gf x introverted bf tropes what can i say !!!
ugh i can’t believe this is the end of coastal u i’m kind of sad but it ended so perfectly

I have very mixed feelings about this book, It was another tiktok recommendation and if i’m being honest it took me a bit to get through it because the first 50% of this book was ROUGH.
I’m sorry i just hated the way it was written, everything the MMC said during that time was so dramatic or dramatized and it was like he was trying to come across as existential but it really came out as super cringe and as if the author was just throwing in words in order to reach a word count.
IT was to the point I almost DNF, it was bad.
It also reached a point where they made it seem like the FMC was heavily going to be “involved” in his work before she actually knew about it and if they would have continued with that story line i actually would have DNF.
I’m glad that doesn’t actually happen and that she doesn’t get involved with it until she knows and it’s WAYY later and they’re actually together. So that was a relief.
On the other hand once you got past that first 50% it wasn’t bad.
I loved the story, i loved the relationship building, i just wish we got a little more angst and maybe even a 3rd break up act.
I feel like with so many issue with their relationship a 3rd break up act would have fit into the story perfectly.
