In the beginning I wasn't so thriller about this trilogy, but now I love it because it inspires me to think a lot!

Wow. The entire last half of this book was one oh-shiz after another. Ca-razy. Really great, though. Really, really great.

Holy freakin' buckets! Talk about never-ending action and suspense. So much happened, I don't even think I can organize my thoughts and feelings into anything remotely intelligent. If I could get away with writing a review that wasn't completely coherent, I would... and it would sound like this: "Oh my word! I can't believe that... and Elder was so... and Amy is... and I was completely STUNNED by... and I KNEW that was... and... READ IT NOW!" But, seeing as I don't think that's really gonna fly, I'll try to type up something more intelligible. Eventually. :)

Well, I'm not sure I like the progression of Amy and Elder's relationship. Finding out about the situation via video clues was cool. I'm definitely hooked enough to read the third one. It should be a decidedly different kind of book, as the setting seems to be perilous. I'm imagining something like Predator, but there's likely a twist, like maybe they're just humans who are more crazy about war than we are. Totally plausible. The books were well spread into a trilogy.

I think this one was definitely better than the first book in the series. It could be due to the fact that I was already introduced to the characters and the setting or it could be because the author's writing and/or editing improved between the two books, I'm not entirely sure. I'm excited to read the third one- I can't really remember what happens in that one, so its kind of like I get to read it again for the first time. Overall, was a good read, and I think 13 year-old Elle would be pleased knowing that I picked this series up again.
