Cute and enjoyable. Things wrapped up a bit too neatly at the end and I wanted to see more about the night of the film debut. I felt that scene was so pivotal to the novel and it was basically glossed over.

I really liked this book! When I read When Dimple Met Rishi, I wasn't the biggest fan of the main character. However, I really liked Twinkle in this and admired her passion for film and want to see more representation in that field. I really loved how we got to see her passion throughout the novel and I loved how she wrote to different female directors. I did think she could be a bit naive at times and it could get kind of annoying how stubborn and naive she could be.
This book definitely gave me teen rom-com vibes and I'm so excited to read more of Sandhya Menon's novels!

This was a cute HEA romance, but nothing to write home about.
While the writing was strong and I liked the back and forth POV’s. I think I preferred the format the author used in Dimple over the letter format. There were some things that didn't come across as effectively as a letter. It was still fun and easy to read. I loved that this represented her culture without being pointedly about it. (The crazy grandma was one of my favorites!) Twinkle does come across very juvenile and boy crazy, so there were parts I found a little annoying. Especially in regards to some bad decisions that contribute to her overall growth.
This had one of the same problems that Dimple had where we don't experience much of the actual hobby that the character is passionate about. Since it's in letter format most scenes occur before or afterwards. However I didn't mind too much since the focus of the story is mostly on Twinkle's personal growth and learning to fall in love with herself and then someone else.
All in all it was an adorable, predictable, HEA romance that I gobbled right up.

So many good books recently! So I really enjoyed this too, it was a fun, light summer-y read like When Dimple Met Rishi and honestly, that says a lot because this is really not my genre but I'm trying to branch out.
If you liked WDMR you'll probably like this too, but I actually preferred From Twinkle, With Love. I love me an adorkable romance, mainly because I relate to that. That's me and my boyfriend really - we're not gooey romantic, we're nerds and we talk about superheroes and play video games and make fun of our friends who are gooey couples (not that there's anything wrong with that, they usually don't even notice us). I liked Twinkle and related to her feelings about not coming from a well-off family and the inadequacy teenage girl brains can't fight off. I adored Sahil. I mean that guy is a legend.
I mean, is it kind of annoying that Twinkle can't let go of Neil and can't see what is right in front of her face? Of course, but it adds to the story and to be honest is a pretty accurate representation of a teenage girls transition to adult feelings. All of it was a pretty good representation in fact, and I always love the gentle but undeniable feminist undertones to Menon's stories. They are great and should be heard by the audience these books are aimed at.
My only drawback is that the book is mostly presented through journal entries which I don't like in general, though it is handled well in this case. I loved the text conversations between Sahil, Skid and Aaron - they were freaking hilarious. Group chat goals.
10/10 would recommend.

I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book just based off of the Character ages. But I'm happy to say I was wrong.
I related to Twinkle on many levels especially where her friendship with Maddie is concerned. Also Sahil is a total dream boat.
The writing style is fun as well.
All together I loved it.

I really wanted to like this book. I gave it an extra half a star for diversity alone. I’m not a contemporary YA person, so I didn’t except to love this book but I didn’t expect to be so annoyed with the main character? They were all supposed to be 16-17 years old and I felt like Twinkle had the maturity level of a middle schooler for the first half? The romance picking up in the middle was honestly the best part but then Twinkle ruined it with her immaturity soooooo.
Anyway, if you’re in early high school or like contemporary YA you’ll probably like it a lot more than I did. Also the diversity was really well done and I feel like I actually learned a lot about Indian culture!

This was such a cute romance and coming-of-age story.
I liked that a lot of important topics like friendship and family were discussed.
At times it felt a little to perfect and I had some issues with Twinkles decisions.
That's why I am only giving it a three star rating.

Fun and sweet, but not quite as loveable as Simple and Rishi.
It felt a little samey, and I just preferred the other story.
