3.55 AVERAGE

I received an advanced reader's copy in a goodreads giveaway.

When I first picked up the book, I thought this story would end up being too young for ne but I am glad to be proven wrong. I am glad I got past those first few chapters and gave this book a chance.

Another fantastic novel by Sandhya Menon :)

3.75/5 stars. A slow start for me as I couldn't get attached to the MC at first, but I eventually got sucked into the story and had to know how the love "square" would get resolved!

Sandhya Menon definitely knows how to write fun contemporary novels. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lighter read.

some of the things i loved about this book:
-twinkle is a great mc and has excellent character development throughout the book
-slowburn romance!!!
-friendships developed really well
-really diverse (indian mcs, black and gay side characters)
-characters that initially appeared as 2D stereotypes actually ended up being fully developed

Twinkle started out as a cool character, became insufferable then saved it at the end. Very predictable.

This is a very sweet and funny books that I enjoyed immensely. Lots of character growth, cultural insights and unique, likeable characters. Highly recommend it for the targeted audience.

VERY SOLID. i liked it so much more than her first book, yet this one might have just been more to my taste. i thought the narrative about twinkle and popularity was done way differently than i’ve seen before but i think it was the most realistic and effective. tldr: pretty lit

From Twinkle, with Love had all of the charm of Menon's first book, when Dimple Met Rishi, and the same love for film. Menon excels at creating complex, but relatable teenage characters, which is honestly a rarity in YA fiction. I loved that Twinkle was really passionate about film, and boys, and friendship, and popularity, and all of the other things that teenage girls really care about, in a way that seemed very authentic to the teenage experience. The love story was believable, I loved the focus on female friendships, and it all around made me smile. I will continue to excitedly await Menon's next works!

I’ve been waiting for this book from the moment I finished Ms. Menon’s first book, When Dimple Met Rishi. I can happily say it does not disappoint. In the same way that Dimple brought back college years, Twinkle floods my memories of high school. Although Twinkle’s life was vastly different from my own, there is something so universal in the feelings and heart ache that is the mine field of high school. No one, no matter their social or economic standing escapes those four formative years unscathed. The manner in which Menon manages to inject such heart and emotion into the world of high school and changing friendships. This book was a one day, nearly all one sitting read. It had me laughing and crying throughout. Definitely a fantastic way to start summer break.

I absolutely adored this book. As a creative person who also struggles with self-esteem issues and often find myself comparing myself to "the greats" or even just my friends who appear to be doing better at life than I am, I really understood Twinkle's struggle. While this story was not written "for me" per se, I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed it. And Twinkle is right: there are so many people out there of various ethnic backgrounds, financial statuses, sexual orientations, races, genders, etc., who have stories to tell and whose voices deserve to be heard just as loudly as the White Men of Hollywood (TM).
